Kim Kardashian and Kanye West talk baby names.

1. Gilmore Girl and Mad Men star set to marry

Alexis Bledel of Gilmore Girls and The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants fame is engaged to Mad Men star Vincent Kartheiser.

The couple have been dating since 2012 according to Bledel’s publicist, who also confirmed the pair’s engagement news.

Kartheiser, 33, and Bledel, 31, first met on the set of Mad Men where the pair were scripted in an extra-marital affair for Karthersiser who plays ad man Pete Campbell.

2.Mad Men star Jon Hamm has a “private” problem that’s causing havoc on set … and it’s been dubbed the Hammaconda … click here for details.

3. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West talk baby names (or possibly compass points, we can’t tell).

Expectant parents Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have reportedly been tossing around a few baby names and  the name at the top of Kanye’s list is – wait for it – North.

For those playing along at home that would make Baby Kanye/Kim’s name, North West. Just. Like. A. Compass. Let’s all just ponder on that for a moment…

“Kanye’s ego is something else, so he’s quite serious about the title,” an insider told The Sun. “He also has a sense of humour though and knows how his self-indulgence is seen by the general public. It’s half tongue-in-cheek, half what Kanye probably feels is true.”

4.Miley Cyrus has chosen the most bizarre way to announce her wedding to Liam Hemsworth is still on. Check it out here.

5. Gwyneth, is that you?

And the prize for this month’s most over-photoshopped cover goes to… SELF magazine featuring Gywneth Paltrow.

Gywneth is in the magazine talking about her new book, It’s All Good, but it’s the cover we’ve noticed. Why on earth do you need to photoshop the lovely Gwyneth so she looks like a slightly confused Barbie doll with rubber skin?

Yes, we constantly wax lyrical about magazines retouching celebrities and models but seriously will we ever stop getting these ridiculous airbrushed versions of already beautiful people?

6.Forget the Robert Pattison-Kirsten Stewart break-up rumours. They’ve been photographed together by a fan in the most unexpected place. Read more here.

7. Phil and Amity win The Block, take home a bunch of cash.

Were you watching the nail biting (shreds, my nails are in SHREDS I say!) auctions on last night’s season finale of The Block? Adelaide couple Phil and Amity took out The Block All Stars title, selling the Bondi semi they renovated for $1.67 million making them a profit of $295,000 and an additional $100,000 prize money for being the winning team.

Josh and Jenna took home $275,000 with Dan and Dani earning $220,000 but disappointingly for the popular tradies Mark and Duncan only made $25,000 from the sale of the home.

8.Russell Brand has been slagging off his marriage to Katy Perry. Click here for details.

What has happened to Gwenyths leg in that cover, is looks really strange. I would not have recognised Gwenyth as the girl on that cover if l had not have known.

I cried watching Mark and Duncan's auction. How awful for them although admittedly their wives looked more gutted than they did. But I can't understand all the people calling for the other teams to share some of their profits with them. WTF for??? The boys made a decision to stick to their offbeat design and regularly defended those choices while the others planned their houses and furnishings to cater to the actual people who buy in that market. Planning and designing to their own tastes was their mistake and that was evident on auction day.

And after thinking about it today I'm not sure the buyer got as big of a steal as I first thought unless he plans to keep the furniture, fixtures and landscaping as is. If he's going to replace some or all of those or to try to flip it if that specific buyer eventually comes along he'll be spending a good chunk of cash beyond what he paid for the house. It just sadly won't be going to Mark and Duncan. Great series though despite the somewhat sad ending... my favourite of all The Block's by far. This next one in South Melbourne has a tough act to follow.
