Is The Bear returning for another season? Here's everything we know so far.

There’s nothing worse than the void that hits as soon as another season of your favourite TV show wraps up. Oh the waiting, the yearning.

For fans of The Bear, news is bittersweet as there has been no official confirmation from FX on Hulu or Disney about the future of the show. However, there have been a few telltale signs that the show will be coming back for a fourth season. Given the show’s popularity and critically acclaimed success — it bagged 23 Emmy nominations this year alone, a record breaking achievement for a comedy series — it's highly unlikely that the show would be cancelled.

But after the cliffhangers at the end of season three left us reeling, we're all desperate to see where the next season will take us: What will Sydney’s decision be? What does the future of The Bear restaurant look like?

What are The Bear Season 4 plot details?

If you haven’t watched the first three seasons of The Bear, here's your warning: there are some spoilers ahead.

If you did watch to the end of season three, you will have seen the tease we were left with: "to be continued". Words I am always fond of seeing at the end of a season finale.

It’s safe to say that season four should see some of the messiness of season three get resolved. Or at least, addressed. We’re hoping to see Sydney’s final decision regarding whether she will stay at The Bear with her chosen family, or take up Adam Shapiro’s offer as his new chef de cuisine.

Hopefully, we'll also get some answers around the fate of The Bear restaurant after that recent review. Will it be enough? Will Cicero continue to fund the restaurant?

And of course, knowing The Bear’s track record, we're sure to be in for some surprises along the way when it comes to the relationships and Carmy’s personal growth.

What are The Bear Season 4 cast details?

For lovers of The Bear, we love a surprise when it comes to the story. What we don’t love is any surprises when it comes to the cast.

Thankfully, the cast of The Bear has stayed relatively consistent over the past three seasons, with the exception of some fun guest stars, of course (hello, Will Poulter? Olivia Colman?).

While no official cast lists have been released just yet, we're expecting the return of the main cast, including Jeremy Allen White as Carmy, Ayo Edebiri as Sydney, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Richie, Abby Elliott as Sugar, Liza Colón-Zayas as Tina, Lionel Boyce as Marcus, Matty Matheson as Neil, Oliver as Cicero and Molly Gordon as Claire.

What is The Bear Season 4 release date?

There has been no official announcement regarding The Bear Season 4, let alone an actual release date. However, this is no reason to fret. We have a sneaking suspicion that a new season will be on the way soon enough.

In an interview with Esquire, Jeremy Allen White was asked when the next season of The Bear would be shooting.

His response? "I'm not sure exactly when," he began. "I know it's not going to be until next year. I imagine sometime early next year, a similar start date to the last couple of years: February/March time."

I know, I know. Until we get the official 'yes, chef' from FX, we’re keeping our fingers and toes crossed. But given multiple publications, like Variety, have reported that sources have confirmed a secret renewal of the show, our hopes are high.
