I don’t think I even know what a coyote is, but their existence has led to the creation of a coyote vest for dogs and we should be eternally grateful.
Behold, Beanie.
Beanie’s face clearly says ‘I would rather be eaten’ but this tiny doggo/giant hedgehog is the internet’s new hero, with her photo receiving more than 60,000 likes.
Her sheepish expression. The neon pink. The menacing spikes.
There is so much to love.
The CoyoteVest offers multiple layers of protection to ensure sweet lil dogs are safe.
Firstly, as the website states: “The unusual appearance makes your dog look strange in the eyes of a predator and may cause them to hesitate before attacking” and heck yes ain’t no coyote wanting to attack a neon pink hedgehog.
But if they do attack, the vest’s “formidable array” of shiny spikes defends the dog’s back and the neck and the vest is made with stab-resistant material that can withstand sharp canine teeth.
No today, coyotes.

Or, we could not get hors d'oeuvre-sized dogs when in coyote territory.
I'm sure the Coyote's are happy to eat those unprotected legs.
Yeah, I can't see that stopping a determined coyote, at best, it might buy the owner some time to get their dog out of harm's way.
I dunno, all those spikes make me thing the owners basically turned the dog into the top end of a Flail and will take the Coyote out with that.
