Well, well, well, Bachelor fans. We finally have a premiere date.

Been feeling a little unfulfilled lately? Bored? Are you lacking direction and general life purpose?

Of course you are.

There’s a large, gaping, meaningful Bachelor hole in your life, and you are far emptier because of it. (No offence.)

Fear not, because The Bachelor is back, and so too your sanity and water cooler chats.

Announcing on Instagram on Sunday morning, Channel 10 have finally given us a date to pencil into our calendars and start watching.

Note this one down: July 26. Wednesday. 7.30pm. Channel 10.

We’ll see you there.

I'm so ashamed to admit that as a Mum, an educated professional and a generally put together person I am so freaking excited for this particular season. I mean Matty J is a dreamboat. (I'm completely aware of how lame I sound).

Still don't get the point of the show. Women debasing themselves for an opportunity to find" true love "on a reality show.Or maybe I'm just a cranky old geezer that's too cynical

Most couples from past shows are still together.

Been waiting for something decent to come back on free to air. There is not much on at the moment. Thank God for Foxtel.

Anyway the show is glamorous and this bachelor is the most gorgeous bachelor yet. Can't wait.

The point of the show is for people with aspirations of being famous to get their 15 minutes of fame while hopefully avoiding an STD.

I'd never go on it but I have to admit it makes good/bad tv! Most of them go on there to raise their profile but I think a few would go in with good intentions.
