Twenty years ago, Jennifer Mulford breastfed her daughter for eight months.
Now she’s breastfeeding again, but this time it’s not a baby or a toddler, it’s her partner. The couple have gone public about it in an attempt, Jennifer says, to normalise inhibitions around adult breastfeeding or ‘Adult Breastfeeding Relationships.’
The 36-year-old breastfeeding enthusiast told The Sun in 2016 that since she met her partner Brad – a body builder and father of one – she quit her job so that she can devote herself to establishing breastfeeding him.
Who is buying black market breast milk? Post continues after podcast.
She said that she had always been interested in adult breastfeeding and had tried to find a suitable partner through dating sites. She finally opened up to Brad, an old boyfriend from high school and when he expressed interest together they formed a relationship.
She says, “It was like a light switched flicked in his head. I could tell from his voice that he was curious and excited.”
She said: “At that moment I knew that I had a partner for life.”
“We both wanted the same thing out of the relationship – a magical bond that only breastfeeding can achieve.”
As she has not given birth her body is not lactating so she needs to “dry feed” to fool her body into producing milk.
She told the newspaper “I’ve taken a break from my job because I want to devote everything to making this work,” she said.

“Nights have been a struggle because Brad sleeps so peacefully but we manage to cope – until he falls asleep latched onto me, which is beautiful,”
She says she uses a hand pump at times if her partner is out and takes Mother’s Milk Tea to help bring in her supply.
Brad – a “gym junkie” has said he is looking forward to what he perceives will be the benefits in breastmilk for his training regime. This is despite a recent medical journal article showing that human milk has no benefits for adults whatsoever. In fact it contains less protein than cow's milk and can even be dangerous to consume.
But the couple feel adult breastfeeding is important for them.
“Brad goes to the gym because it makes him feel good about himself knowing he is shape and living a healthy lifestyle. He also tells me all the time that he does it for me because he wants other women to feel jealous of what I have,” said Jennifer said.
The couple clearly are devoted to each other Brad writing on Facebook only a few days ago “She is slowly becoming my everything. I wake up thinking about her, I fall asleep missing her, I daydream all day about her. It's nice to be able to relate to someone and feel a connection I have never had. She is my little Beep Beep!!”
Jennifer told friends that Brad was “perfect for her.”

She says that if it were up to Brad they would breastfeeding in public but for her its “very private.”
“I’ll never say never but I love the time we spend nursing alone. It’s our time away from the rest of the world and I look forward to every feed.”
She says though it can have complications.
“It’s been difficult to distinguish the difference between nurturing and sex,” Jennifer told The Sun
“Although it’s so beautiful and peaceful it’s also erotic. It’s been hard to get through the first few nursing sessions without being tempted to have sex, but each time it’s getting easier.”
Confusingly Jennifer said to the newspaper (with a circulation of 2.2 million daily) that they don’t want many people to know about their Adult Breastfeeding Relationship so they have only told "a few friends".
“I’m not opposed to telling people but I don’t think many others would understand. I don’t think my mother would grasp the idea – but I wish I could tell the world.”
Well, wishes can come true.
The couple are planning on it taking around two months for her milk to come in and say they will continue the process for several years.
“Seconds after Brad latches on I feel a sense of peace and calm. “ she said.
“It’s a bond that no one can come between.”

Because it is a sick fetish? Oh sorry, was I kink-shaming?
Interesting she gave up her job, I wonder if the tax payer is supporting her. He must have an odd occupation if he is taking 2 hourly breaks. All a bit peculiar.
