Casey's phone went off the night before her wedding. It changed everything.

The night before her wedding day, Casey received a simple text message.

It read “I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?” with screenshots.

She had expected a text of best wishes, but instead her heart broke instantly.

Speaking to Danielle Colley at Whimn, Casey shared her story.

Casey and Alex had been together for six years before their wedding day.

The screenshots were devastating, and contained messages between Casey’s fiancé and another woman.

“[There were] loads of them, including selfies of the pair. She was the opposite of me. I’m blonde and fair, and this unknown woman had dark hair and olive skin,” she told Colley.

She added that the texts were dated from months earlier, up until the days leading up to the wedding.

“My brain simply could not compute WTF was going on. There was no questioning the legitimacy of these messages. I just knew,” she said.

The text messages varied in their guilt.

“This weekend. You and I. It is on, hot stuff. Bring your A game.”

“Your body is f*cking incredible. And sh*t do you know how to use it. I wish my GF had half the skills you do.”

“I miss you so much. I can’t stop thinking about L, S, F’ing you. I’ve never had this kind of connection before.”

Her friends immediately encouraged her to call her husband-to-be and call off the wedding. She said she loved him, and didn’t call it off.

“But I loved Alex. I wanted to marry Alex tomorrow. I was too shocked and sad to be angry. I didn’t call him,” she told the publication.

After a sleepless night, she made the ultimate decision.

She decided to go ahead with the wedding, and out him in front of her friends and family.

“I arrived at the front of the room, took a big breath and I faced our friends, our parents and I told them the truth about Alex,” she told Whimn.

“There will be no wedding today,” she announced.

She turned to the groom-to-be and read every message to him. He was speechless.

“I love all of you and as horrible as this is I’m glad you all are here. There will not be a wedding reception today, but instead, there will be a celebration of honesty, finding true love and following your heart even when it hurts,” she turned to the crowd and said.

It’s every bride-to-be’s worst nightmare. But she isn’t the only one with a wedding horror story.

In July, a story surfaced about a woman whose future husband ditched her in front of thousands of strangers watching live on Facebook.

Manow Jutathip Nimnual was waiting patiently for her husband-to-be Phakin Junjerm to join her at the aisle in the Thai city of Ratchaburi, according to The Bangkok Post. But the young man never showed.

Thousands of people were watching at home as the 24-year-old announced to family and friends that he had “run away”.

The saved version of the five-minute video has since been shared by more than 30,000 people on Facebook and viewed more than five million times. Thankfully most were sympathetic and shared supportive messages with the bride.

Ouch.

What would you do if this happened to you? Do you have a wedding horror story?

What a nasty piece. Clearly she wasn’t so bad or he would’ve called off the wedding earlier but then maybe he didn’t have balls....served him right
