It’s a crime too horrific to contemplate.
Two British women have been charged with engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child after abusing two girls, aged seven and nine, near Brighton.
Emma Kent, 29, and Jacqueline Horton, 47, allegedly used sex toys on themselves while the young girls were forced to watch on.
Kent then proceeded to sexually assaulted the girls.
It is not known at this stage what the relationship of the girls was to their abusers, or if such a relationship existed.
Horton appeared in court today facing two charges of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, while Kent faces four charges of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child and two charges of sexual assault.
Kent, who is already serving a prison sentence for another crime, was intended to appear at the trial via video link, but was unable to do so due to technical difficulties.
Horton entered no pleas at trial and was released today on bail. Her case will be tried on April 14.
