real life

He had 3 girlfriends. They all met him at the airport arrival gate.

When UK teenager Becky Connery spotted a text on her boyfriend’s phone saying: “I will meet you later”, she suspected he was up to no good.”

So 17-year-old Connery got in touch with the messenger directly — and discovered her boyfriend, Charlie Fisher, had been sleeping not only with that girl, but with a third girlfriend.

The three girls – 19-year-old Lizzie Leeland-Cunningham, Becky, and a third girl who doesn’t want to be identified – could have melted down or even started a catfight.

But instead they opted to take a much more inspired (and, frankly, awesome) route: after comparing notes at a local pub, they hatched a plan to meet 20-year-old Fisher at Luton airport when he arrived home from a trip in Germany — and confront him about his two (or three)-timing ways.

The plan went just as they had hoped: When supermarket worker Fisher walked through the arrivals gate, the girls began to call out “liar, liar”.

The unsuspecting Fisher saw the three unimpressed girls and “his face just dropped”, Lizzie told MailOnline.

“He froze and looked at us.  He said: ‘Why are you here?  Why would you do this?’,” Becky said. “We were like ‘Are you joking?'”

Fisher fled the airport with his grandmother, who had come to collect him — and while he has not spoken out to media about his involvement in the love quadrangle, we think it’s fair to say he won’t be overwhelmed by offers of a date any time soon.

Meanwhile, this story of heartbreak has resulted in one unexpectedly happy outcome: the girls have become fast friends.

“They’re great – I’m seeing both of them for nights out soon,’ Becky told MailOnline. “We can’t think what we saw in Charlie in the first place.”

Both Becky and Lizzie have also spoken out about the remarkable chain of events on social media.

“It’s not the 16th century anymore, the age of men being superior to women,” Becky tweeted. “(T)hat is why I think he deserved to be exposed”.

“How he had three girlfriends at once I will never understand,” she added.

“(T)his just goes to show, if someone breaks your heart don’t you cry about it”.

“This is the best outcome,” Lizzie tweeted. “me and [Becky] appreciate everyone’s support”.

Have you ever confronted a cheating partner? What happened?

Ok, fess up time.

I had two going when I was young and silly (as distinct from being old and silly), and had successfully managed to keep them both a secret from each other for a few months.

Then one weekend a friend had a party, I decided to go alone, so didn't tell either of them that the party was on.

Unfortunately for me, some of my friends invited both of the girls independently. They arrived at the party before me and within the relatively small group made contact and worked out what I had been doing.

So when I arrived I was greeted by the pair of them. Being intelligent, educated young women they took the attitude of "don't get mad, get even"

I copped an absolute flogging. They made me bloody well squirm for hours. They loved it, my mates thought it hilarious, and I had to cop it sweet. Until the moment that I walked in that room I'd thought I was pretty clever. I'm not comfortable being the centre of attention for good reasons, so I wanted to find a rock to crawl under that night.

I did deserve it though.

This sounds like the plot from the movie "The Other Woman"

Well, that WAS where he went on his first date with Becky - good bookending of the relationships, I say.
