In case you've been having a snooze, there's been about 15 new skin tint launches in the space of, like, two weeks. And we're going to need to talk about it.
Because they're one of the biggest makeup trends getting around and perfect for those of us who aren't too keen on full coverage foundation and covering up your skin.
They're lightweight. Sheer. Dewy. Minimalistic. Easy to wear.
Watch: Here's what wearing 10 pumps of foundation looks like. Post continues below.
They offer a hint of coverage, while still allowing your skin to appear authentically 'you'. The type of formulas that embrace freckles, imperfections, dark spots and texture rather than trying to cover it up.
What's more, they're often bursting with hardworking ingredients for that skincare-meets-makeup all-in-one solution.
Here are five new skin tints you need to try.
1. Mecca Max Off Duty Serum Skin Tint, $36.
Yes! Mecca Max has released a Skin Tint – and it is VERY brand new (it only launched last week!). It comes in 20 different shades, and is described as an 'ultra-lightweight foundation' that's infused with soothing and nourishing ingredients like niacinamide and squalane.
It has a really lovely sheer finish on the skin, and literally feels like you're wearing nothing at all – a real 'your skin but better' kind of product, and perfect for everyday wear.
2. Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint, $49.
Formulated with hyaluronic acid and squalene, this luxury lightweight skin tint from Hourglass is another newbie. And to the absolute delight of my dry face, it's one of those formulas that keeps your skin hydrated for the whole entire day. Really. No cakey, flaky skin at 1pm.
It instantly melts into your skin and gives it the most beautiful healthy-looking radiance that will fool people into thinking you go for regular facials and drink 10 litres of water every day. Big Sofia Richie vibes.
3. Naked Sundays CabanaGlow™ SPF50 Bronze Drops Duo, $85.
Aussie brand Naked Sundays also (very) recently launched a new tinted skin serum. It contains illuminating and bronzing pigments that are infused with powerhouse antioxidants to hydrate, brighten and even your skin tone. This is another very sheer formula, so if you're looking for something with a bit more coverage, you can mix it with your usual foundation for an added glow.
We love a multi-tasker!
4. Summer Fridays Sheer Skin Tint, $76.
This totally weightless formula from Summer Fridays gives your skin a sheer tint of colour, masking the look of redness, pores and uneven skin tone. If you're after a little more coverage, it layers beautifully for a sheer-to-light finish.
It's also bursting with skin-loving ingredients, including antioxidants to soothe the skin and reduce the look of redness, glycerin and hyaluronic acid to plump fine lines and support your skin barrier and a blend of squalane, vitamin E and avocado oils to lock in hydration.
Mamamia's Morning Editor, Charlie Begg said, "I reached for this skin tint I had sitting in my cupboard recently, any guys, she's niceee. Super light with just enough tint to cover redness and blemishes and if you set her, she lasts too!"
5. Australis Dewy & Daring Illuminating Face Glaze, $19.95.
A base product that has niacinamide, ceramides, peptides and squalene? Yes, pls. Australia Dewy & Daring Illuminating Face Glaze is another multi-use skin tint you need in your makeup bag.
Available in three stunning shades, these babies can be used under or over makeup, mixed in with your foundation, or on their own for 'no-makeup' makeup days. Featuring a bunch of ingredients to plump and hydrate dull skin, they'll give your base the most beautiful, natural glow.
The best part? You can usually pick them up on sale at Priceline. Winning!
