Meghan Markle's colour-blocking evolution sends a clear signal: She'll no longer be muted.

Look, there’s a lot going on with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s current visit to England.

There’s secret body language to unpack. And the urgent matter of whether The Queen is annoyed at the couple’s royal emancipation or actually very supportive.

But if you want conspiracy theories about all that, you’re going to have to go elsewhere.

For the purposes of this article we’re focusing on Meghan’s wardrobe, because we think we’ve officially hacked it.

On what many are calling The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s farewell tour to royal life, her latest appearances have brought to dazzling light Meghan’s very specific approach to getting dressed. And that’s an unwavering commitment to colour blocking.

She’s long been a fan of this styling trick, where you pair pieces in the same or similar tones to create a polished look.

In the past she’s favoured more neutral shades – think beige, cream, aubergine and black. Chic, subtle tones. Support-act tones.

But for this particular style stint, when the eyes of the world are assessing her every move, Meghan’s going bold. Forget beige – we’re talking head-to-toe brights. And capes.

Yep, that's some sartorial superpower if we've ever seen it.

If this isn't Meghan not-so-subtly signalling that she's a woman who wants to be seen, we'll eat our pillbox hat.

Personally we're living for her evolution from dutiful Duchess to the queen of throwing shades.

While we await Meghan's next move, take a look back at some of her more subdued colour-blocking moments, the ones that firmly established her signature style.
