Best and worst of the week.

By NATALIA HAWK

Welcome to best and worst of the week. Personally, it’s my favourite post on Mamamia.

I love coming on, reading all the comments and seeing what everyone is up to and finding out what the best and worst part of different people’s week has been.

And I love leaving my own best and worst. It’s very cathartic – the perfect way to end what’s been a completely feral week on a relaxed, supportive note.

So let me kick off and get this little therapy-party started.

Best: I’m flying off to Cairns tomorrow to see my partner. You might not think that’s particularly amazing, but get this – I haven’t actually seen him THIS YEAR.

The last time I saw him was December 2012. He’s been away for work for the first few months of 2013 and he’s only just returned. We’ll be seeing each other quite a bit over the next couple of months before he goes away again, so I’m super excited about that too.

Worst: Remember the stomach bug I spoke about in this post? It’s still around. I’m up to day 14 and currently living off crackers and salt-and-sugar-free peanut butter (the only two things that don’t make me feel sick).

Let me tell you now: humans are not meant to live off crackers and peanut butter.

My brain is fog-central.

Best no. 2 (I’m having two this week because I am greedy): According to the doctor, I am on the mend. Steak, here I come!

What was your best and worst of the week?

Best: Started working again this week. This job feels like such a better fit for me than my last one and I'm really enjoying it which is nice :). Plus I've finally got some money coming in again!

Worst: Struggling with managing my uni workload. I haven't had to juggle study and employment before and I'm not managing my time very well, which lead to me submitting a pretty crap assignment this week.

OMM: Figuring out ways to better manage my time and avoid procrastination. I'm open to suggestions! :)

Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend :D
