1. MAFS’ Mikey has moved on with Natasha’s friend. Yep. There are texts.
Another day, another piece of MAFS gossip. Who would’ve known?
Today, the gossip involves a couple who continue to make headlines: Mikey Pembroke and Natasha Spencer.
To recap, these two are not getting along.
Watch: MAFS experts, uncut.
During Wednesday night’s dinner party, Natasha got in trouble for revealing too many details about their sex life and since then Mikey has revealed he would happily date other MAFS brides. We know, it’s hard to keep up.
And now, there is more.
Apparently, Mikey has moved on with Natasha’s friend, Kelly Burke.
Mikey took Kelly out to dinner on Valentine’s Day, and the pair were happily spotted cuddling and kissing as they left the restaurant.
If that isn’t juicy enough, The Daily Mail Australia has obtained the text messages between Mikey and Natasha, as she gets upset (justifiably so) about the new relationship.
Natasha texted Mikey saying, “Kels is a Sydney social girl. It’s just a little bit shit that you tore me apart for being a brand-loving Sydney party girl, and now you’re taking Kelly to dinner and planning on her coming to Europe in December.”
Uh oh. How awkward.
2. Harry and Meghan aren’t even allowed to use the word ‘Royal’ now.
There have been ongoing discussions for months about whether Harry and Meghan would be allowed to keep their ‘Sussex Royal’ branding, after their decision to step down as working members of the Royal Family.
And now, we have an answer: nope.
Overnight, a spokesperson for the pair announced that the couple will cease use of the term ‘Royal’ in accordance with government rules.
They said, “While The Duke and Duchess are focused on plans to establish a new non-profit organisation, given the specific UK government rules surrounding use of the word ‘Royal,’ it has been therefore agreed that their non-profit organisation, when it is announced this Spring, will not be named Sussex Royal Foundation.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not intend to use ‘SussexRoyal’ in any territory post-spring 2020.”
It will no doubt be a blow for the pair, who moved quickly after their departure to establish the “Sussex Royal” brand; it’s on their social media accounts, new website, and was even due to be trademarked (that application has now been withdrawn).
The news comes after the announcement this week that their resignation will come into effect on March 31. From that date, they will no longer carry out duties on behalf of the Queen or receive money from the public purse.
Keep calm and carry on, I guess.
3. Cara Delevingne isn’t Justin Bieber’s favourite. And it seems the feeling is mutual.
Oh.
It seems Justin Bieber and Cara Delevingne are in a passive-aggressive feud.
The “Yummy” singer appeared on James Corden’s The Late Late Show where he did a segment called ‘Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts’, in which he was required to answer an uncomfortable question or eat a portion of disgusting food.
Corden asked the singer to rank three of his model wife’s friends, from favourite to least favourite. Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid were his three choices.
Bieber chose to answer the question, ranking Hailey Bieber’s friends in the order of: “Kendall, Gigi and Cara Delevingne”.
“Here’s the thing, let’s go back to it though. I know Kendall, I’ve spent the most time with Kendall, she’s a good friend of ours. I haven’t spent a lot of time with Gigi and I haven’t spent a lot of time with Cara. So, I have nothing against those people, it’s just I have a better relationship with [Kendall].”
Delevingne reposted the segment on her Instagram account, with the caption: “If you have nothing against me, then why don’t you unblock me? Love you @haileybieber – He should have just eaten the bull penis.”
Eeek.
Neither Hailey or Justin Bieber have responded to the model’s comments as of yet.
4. There’s finally going to be an LGBTQI Disney character.
Warning: there are spoilers for the new animated Disney film Onward. So read at your own risk.
It’s finally happening. Disney is about to introduce its first LGBTQI character and we are beyond excited.
The new animated film Onward introduces the first animated lesbian character into the world of Disney. The character goes by the name of Officer Specter and she’s a Cyclops cop, played by actor and screenwriter, Lena Waithe.
Although the introduction of this character is a huge advancement for Disney, the film’s producer Kori Rae explained that the role naturally fit when speaking with Yahoo Entertainment.
She said, “It just kind of happened. The scene, when we wrote it, was kind of fitting and it opens up the world a little bit, and that’s what we wanted.”
The director Dan Scanlon added, “It’s a modern fantasy world and we want to represent the modern world.”
The film follows two elf brothers played by Chris Pratt and Tom Holland, as they go on a journey to discover if there is enough magic in the universe to send just one more day with their father, who died when they were young. Julie Louis-Dreyfus also appears in the film, playing their mother.
Onward will hit theatres on April 2.
5. “It’s happening”: The rumours were true. The cast Friends is reuniting.
Stop everything. The cast of Friends is officially making a comeback, 16 years after the final episode aired.
“It’s happening,” the six actors of the main characters simultaneously posted to their respective Instagram accounts.
The long-rumoured special will air on new streaming service, HBO Max, which is due to launch in May. It will be unscripted (i.e. it’s not a new episode of the show), but exactly what form it will take remains unclear.
“Guess you could call this ‘the one where they all got back together’ — we are reuniting with David, Jennifer, Courteney, Matt, Lisa and Matthew for an HBO Max special that will be programmed alongside the entire ‘Friends’ library,” said Kevin Reilly, the streaming service’s chief content officer.
Friends followed six friends – Rachel Green, Phoebe Buffay, Joey Tribbiani, Chandler Bing, Monica Geller and Ross Geller – as they navigated the troubles of adulthood.
