1. Well, now we know what Laura Byrne really thought about Bach’s Abbie.
If there is one person we can count on to keep things real on The Bachelor, it’s Laura Byrne.
The former Bachelor contestant, who won Matty J’s heart on his season of the franchise, was a fan-favourite in 2017 for her authentic personality.
And this week, Matty J and Laura, as well as Sam Wood and Snezana Markoski, returned to the show to help Matt Agnew find love.
Laura and Snez met with each of the girls vying for Matt’s heart, before choosing just one woman to go on a triple date with them.
And while Laura was nothing but pleasant to the women on the show, she was a little more honest about her real thoughts on this year’s Bachelor contestants on her Instagram. Specifically, Abbie Chatfield.
Posting to her stories, the jewellery designer shared a short snippet of her meeting with Abbie with her over 200,000 Instagram followers.
“My face… Please.. Tell me more fluff,” Byrne wrote, alongside laughing emojis and a video of Abbie telling her how much she liked Matt Agnew.
Well. This is awkward. Especially considering how excited Abbie was to meet Laura on the show.
"My timeline would be three to five years, Abbie told Laura and Snez about her plans to get married and have children. "But, you know - and this sounds insane - the more I get to know him I’m so flexible on all these things."
Laura did express her reservations about Abbie to camera after the meeting, telling producers: "She’s said that she’s ready to make those compromises like having a baby for Matt. I don’t know, maybe she’s just saying the things that we want to hear."
2. Later, Harry. Meghan Markle is going on a kid-free holiday to watch some tennis.
There are times when it'd be pretty rubbish to be Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, with all the paparazzi and the boring family functions and the gossip mags calling you 'a diva'.
But then there are times like this. See, the former Suits actor has left her four-month-old son Archie with his dad (and their army of staff), and gone on a last-minute trip across the Atlantic to watch her best mate play in the final of the US Open. As you do.
According to The Times, the 38-year-old will be court-side as long-time friend, Serena Williams, seeks to equal Margaret Court's record of 24 grand slam titles.
But if Page Six's anonymous sources are to be believed, the tennis legend's coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, isn't happy about it: "Tennis players are very superstitious, and Serena lost when Meghan came to watch her at Wimbledon,” a source told the tabloid. “Patrick keeps telling her, ‘Focus focus focus.’"
Don't jinx it. OK, Meghan?
3. STOP THE SEARCH. Chris Hemsworth’s dog has been found.
In the best news we've heard all weekend, Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky's dog, Sunny, has been found, and this is proof that there is good in the world.
The groodle (that's a golden retriever crossed with a poodle) escaped from the family's Byron Bay property after getting zapped by an electric fence on Wednesday. However, the cream-coloured pooch has since been returned to its rightful owners.
Family friend, Leah Grist confirmed the news via a post in the Facebook group Byron Bay Community Board Facebook page.
“SUNNY has been FOUND this morning,” she wrote.
“Thank you to everyone for all their help, shares and wishes to bring Sunny home.”
Now give the boy all the treats and belly rubs, because we're sure the very good boy has had one heck of an adventure.
Now, as you were.
4. It’s not the Bring It On reunion we wanted. But we’ll take it.
Kristen Dunst and Gabrielle Union have just reunited for Rodarte's Spring campaign, and their outfits are heavenly.
Both Dunst and Union are friends of Kate and Laura Mulleavy who founded the brand in 2005, however, we're choosing to see this as the Torrance and Isis Bring it On reunion we've been dreaming of since 2000.
The Rodarte campaign also featured other notable celebs including Mad Men mother-daughter duo January Jones and Kiernan Shipka, Gia Coppola, Lili Reinhart, the Haim sisters and musician Maggie Rogers, who looked dazzling.
Just look at the decadent and stunning images below.
5. Just a definitive ranking of the thirstiest Bachelors.
What’s that?
The slippery, slimy sound of saliva coalescing?
Great. That’s exactly what I like to hear as I take a mouthful of my dinner!
Yes, after seven years, Bachelor viewers will be well accustomed to some prime-time pashing. After all, Australia’s Bachies have been a thirsty bunch, and who could blame them? A reality television show premised on dating dozens of people simultaneously isn’t exactly an occasion for prudishness.
Some get more amongst it than others, though.
