Warning: This post definitely contains spoilers for Netflix’s documentary series, Tiger King.
In the past month, there have been just two subjects on the minds of everyone around the world – the global COVID-19 situation and a self-described “gay, gun-toting cowboy with a mullet” called Joe Exotic.
Although Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness was only released two weeks ago, the new Netflix documentary series has promptly taken over the world.
And honestly, it’s not hard to see why.
Watch the trailer for Netflix’s Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness below. Post continues after video.
In case you haven’t seen it yet, the new seven-part series dives into the (very) weird and wonderful world of big cat ownership in the United States.
Along the way, the series, which is based on a true story, involves murder-for-hire, polygamy, a cult-like leader, a mysterious disappearance, heavy drug use, an ex-drug lord, countless big cats and exploitation of both animals and humans.
Yep, it’s a lot to take in.
With seven hours worth of content to devour, it’s not a surprise that the series is jam-packed with small but batsh*t crazy details that you might have missed.
Here are just some of them:
The very dangerous cigarette.
Ah, yes.
A man smoking a cigarette while pouring petrol from one tank into another.
Totally normal. Totally safe.
This police detective's interior design choices.
The Florida police detective who was tasked with investigating Carole Baskin certainly had some... interesting interior design choices.
Notable mentions include the monkey butler statue, the big cat glass table, and the bizarre masks on the walls that will haunt my dreams forever.
Yep, literally not a single person in this series is sane.
The interview in a bathtub.
Joe Exotic's hitman, Allen Glover, was interviewed for a segment in the documentary while SITTING IN A BATHTUB.
Was this necessary? Is there a reason this particular interview had to take place in a bath? Is he... wearing pants?
We have so many questions.
Joe's perfectly-timed EMS jacket.
Throughout Tiger King, you quickly learn that Joe Exotic happens to have the perfect outfit for almost every occasion.
After an employee had their arm LITERALLY RIPPED OFF by a big cat, Joe Exotic decided it was the perfect time to change into a more appropriate outfit.
What did he change into? A goddamn emergency services jacket.
Your worker is lying on the ground bleeding from a tiger bite. Now is not the time to flex your EMS jacket, Joe.
Joe's Carole Baskin mannequin.
Throughout the series, Joe's hatred for Carole Baskin becomes more and more disturbing.
In fact, in one scene, Joe shares that he even has a mannequin named after the Big Cat Rescue owner.
The mannequin, which Joe uses for target practice, was even dressed up in a tiger print shirt and a flower headband.
It's... a lot.
The incredible jet ski scene.
This particular scene was a cinematic masterpiece.
In the scene, James Garretson, a former strip club owner and big cat enthusiast, is seen riding a jet ski in slow motion as 'Eye Of The Tiger' plays in the background.
Iconic. Breathtaking. Stunning.
Joe's preacher outfit.
As we mentioned earlier, Joe Exotic seems to have an outfit for everything. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
One of his most notable outfits? A preacher outfit.
Not only did Joe wear his preacher's outfit to his husband's funeral, he also wore the exact same outfit for one of his infamous country music videos.
At least it's... versatile?
That tornado scene.
In episode one, Joe Exotic is seen standing exceptionally close to a tornado before driving away on his four-wheeler.
Yep. Nothing surprises me about this show anymore.
The drug smuggling snakes.
The weirdest part about Tiger King was the fact that drug smuggling snakes were only just mentioned in passing.
Yes, according to the documentary, people have been convicted of cutting open snakes, putting drugs inside of them, and stitching them back together.
WHY WAS THIS GLOSSED OVER?
We need an entire series on the drug smuggling snakes, please.
The way Chelsea was spelt.
Above everything in Tiger King, the way Joe's niece's name was spelled was definitely the craziest moment in the entire series.
That is not how you spell Chelsea, pls.
Carole Baskin's wedding photos.
My favourite part about Tiger King is definitely Carole Baskin's wedding photos.
Just... why?
The skeleton riding shotgun.
After divorcing his wife of 30 years, this former zoo keeper drives around in a demon clown car with a skeleton riding shotgun.
And somehow, it's not even that surprising.
All seven episodes of Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness are available to watch on Netflix now.

These are truly batshit, but trust me, no one who watched this missed any of these details. How could you miss the guy being interviewed in the bath?
Or the detective with the creepy masks! I was like, what is with all these people?! The guy with no legs with a skeleton in a hot rod seemed completely reasonable by the time I got to that point in the doco,
