The first three episodes of the Netflix Harry & Meghan documentary have dropped with the couple sharing all the details on how they first met and quickly fell in love.
In July 2016 Meghan was enjoying a single girl summer in Europe with friends after learning her show Suits was being renewed for another season.
"I was really intent on being single and just having fun girl time," Meghan says in episode one.
"I had my career, my life. I had my path. And then came H: talk about plot twist!"

Harry explains how they first met over Instagram after he saw her in a video with a Snapchat style puppy filter while scrolling through his feed. As Meghan laughs about this being the point he started following her, it was clear the doggy ears didn't obscure her beauty when Harry recalls, "That was the first thing, I was like, ‘Who is that?'"
The mutual friend didn't waste any time in attempting to set the pair up. She sent Meghan an email saying she knew she was single, and that she had a friend who was keen to meet her. Meghan was curious.
"I said well, 'Who is it?'," Meghan says.
"And she said, 'It's Prince Haz' and I said, 'Who's that?"
"I asked if I could see his [private Instagram] feed and that's the thing people say, 'did you Google him?' and no I didn't, but like that's your homework: let me see what they're about in their feed not what someone else says about them. What they are putting out about themselves, that to me is the best barometer.
"So I went through [his feed] of beautiful photography and all these environmental shots. This time you're spending in Africa."
After swapping numbers, the pair were as Harry says "constantly in touch", so they agreed to meet for a drink in London while Meghan was in the UK to enjoy Wimbledon.
Meghan's friend US TV director and producer, Silver Tree recalls receiving a surprising message from her overseas pal.
"She said 'Silver you're not gonna believe this' and then told me she was going out on a date with him. We thought it was really funny. We were like, 'in what world does this happen?'"
They met for a drink at 76 Dean Street in London but 'H' was running late.
"I couldn't understand why he would be late," Meghan says. But he kept texting saying, 'I'm so sorry. I'm in traffic.' I didn't know him. So I was like, 'Oh, is this what he does?' Was he one of those guys who has so much of an ego that any girl would sit around and wait for half hour? I was just not interested in that."
Harry meanwhile was sweating and feeling terrible.
"I walked in a hot, red, sweaty mess and she realised 'oh no' that is not what I'm like," he laughs.
After a possibly disastrous start however, Harry and Meghan had a "great chat" and a lot of fun together. As Meghan was about to leave London, she rang Harry later that same evening to see if he had plans the following night.
"I was like, look, I'm leaving the day after tomorrow. Do you want to grab dinner tomorrow night? And I'm sure he thought it was so forward and American! We had dinner the next night at the same place."
They both realised during the evening they had strong feelings for each other. They took a grainy selfie to capture the moment.

"We just wanted to capture the feeling of just sitting in that little restaurant going, 'Oh my gosh. We're gonna give it a go'," Meghan says.
Harry knew he had found his perfect woman.
"It was when it just hit me," he says. "I was like this, this girl, this woman is amazing. It's everything I've been looking for. And she's so comfortable and so relaxed in my company."
Friends of the couple share in the documentary that it was clear straight away the pair were in love.
Harry describes how choosing Meghan was a decision of the heart, something that other members of the royal family have not always done.
"For so many people in the family especially for men, there can be a temptation or urge to marry someone who fits the mould, as opposed to somebody who you are destined to be with.
"It's the difference between making decisions with your head or your heart. And my mum certainly made most of her decisions, if not all of them, from her heart and I am my mother's son."
