29 y/o teacher charged for having sex with 3 students. All on the same night.

A 29-year-old high school teacher has been charged with sexual battery after engaging in ‘multiple’ acts of sex with three of her male students on the same night.

Ellen Lindsay Niemic is a married high school teacher in the US state of South Carolina who has three children of her own.

It’s alleged that Ms Niemic engaged in sexual activity with two 17-year-old students and one 18-year-old student.

She has been charged specifically with having sex with the three male students at a ‘house party’ romp on April 11.

An attorney representing all three boys says that there were other acts of sex on the school campus as well as outside of school grounds on other occasions.

According to the Attorney Mike Bosnak, “It started with dirty talk, then they were texting. She was texting nude pictures and that kind of stuff.”

“It’s our understanding that this teacher had, would have sexual talks with her class on numerous occasions,” Mr Bosnak revealed.

“Then just from there, it just went on. Some of it took place at the school. She also was picking one of them up in the morning and had sex with him in the morning and then in the afternoon.”

The authorities began investigating when other school officials reported suspicions to the police.

When the charges came to light, the 29-year-old teacher was placed on administrative leave and banned from the school. She is now no longer employed at Cross High School in Berkeley County.

“When a teacher violates a student’s trust, she violates the whole community’s trust,” Detective Brian Fenton said in court on Thursday.

Her own attorney David Aylor told The Post and Courier that he hadn’t yet spoken to Niemic but said, “Obviously, this is the very beginning of the case… This is obviously extremely difficult for her and her family.”

Obviously.

i can't believe the comments about this. "sexual battery"? seriously, the analogy about if it were female students etc is irrelevant for this particular story - they weren't girls, they were men. you can save the outrage for those stories when that actually occurs. they were willing participants and frankly may well have been taking advantage of her and the situation. i hardly think they were "traumatised" at all - besides, what evidence has been presented to show that they were? Anyway, i know when i was at that age i'd have thought it was fantastic as would have all of my friends.

I asked my Year 12 son if he would have sex with a teacher & he said "If she was hot"!
While it is despicable, inappropriate behaviour & ethically & morally wrong of the married teacher, I doubt if many 17, 18 year old boys would be "traumatised" by the sexual experience. However they will be traumatised by the furore & outcry of discovery & legal proceedings!

Are young girls who find their older teacher 'hot' denied legal rights because they obviously wanted it?

Interesting to hear us all thinking aloud in context of this very messed up situation. Stella - yes, 17 year old boys have sexual experience - but what is that to do with what adults OUGHT to do? This kind of criminal charge on a teacher is, at its core, a moral discussion about how we ought to behave around students (I am a male high school teacher, and have 16 year old girls in my classes). It's the underlying amorality of this woman, using available teenaged partners to meet her own needs - plain and simple - that disgusts and worries us. You have that reaction for a good reason - we have a moral compass inside us that KNOWS that this is selfish behaviour in the extreme, coming from the responsible adult. Just change a few job titles around and see how we believe someone OUGHT to behave:
Let's say a 29 year-old female judge presides over a case involving a 17 year old boy. The trial finishes, judge gives her ruling. But instead of allowing herself and the boy to return to the separate lives they both should naturally lead, she pursues him. Texts him, encourages him sexually by baring her soul and body over the phone. The liaison goes to its next step and they have sex. What ought the judge have done when the trial ended? It's obvious: She OUGHT to have gone back to her separate life, leaving him to his. Our Profession will always be at risk for needy people getting appropriate boundary marking wrong. Truth is, they don't WANT to mark firm boundaries between them and young students - because that would frustrate their goal of using the minor to meet their sexual and companionship needs.
