1. “Elly’s a nice country girl but she doesn’t have that strong personality…” The Bachelor’s Mary doesn’t think Elly will win.
The Bachelor is down to the last seven women as they continue to vie for the heart of 32-year-old astrophysicist, Matt Agnew.
This week we saw four women – Nikki, Nichole, Mary and Rachel – leave the mansion, and all of them have their own opinions on who they think will be the last woman standing.
And for Mary, the season’s resident narrator, that woman is not fan-favourite Elly Miles.
Appearing on The Project on Friday night, the 31-year-old cook told panelists she believes chemical engineer Chelsie McLeod will be the winner.
“At one point in the competition we were like, well what are we doing here? It looks like Matt has only eyes for Elly.”
However she adds, “I have my pick for the win. I am team Chelsie.”
When asked who will takeover her role now that she's left the mansion, Mary said: "Elly's a nice country girl but she doesn't have that strong personality that I have!'
On Friday, the Victorian-based single mum told Mamamia:"I love Chelsie, she's so nice. She's such a down-to-earth girl, she's such a sweetheart.
"She's so shy too. She has everything that Matt's looking for - they're pretty much the same person, they just don't know it yet."
The Spill is Mamamia's new daily popular culture podcast, talking all things celebrity and entertainment. Post continues after audio.
2. Everything we know about the rumours that Schapelle Corby is pregnant.
Formerly imprisoned drug trafficker Schapelle Corby is currently holidaying in Greece, and some news outlets have once again suggested that the 42-year-old may be pregnant with her boyfriend, Ben Panangian.
Suspicions were stoked when Corby shared an Instagram photo and Story of herself in a bikini by the beach, however she failed to show her stomach area.
And thus, she simply must be trying to hide a baby bump.
"Congrats in order?" asked one user.
"Yeah, but are ya preggers?" enquire another.
Corby and partner are currently holidaying in sunny Europe, as Panangian in unable to qualify for an Australian visa due to his criminal record. Corby met the Indonesian surfer, at Kerobokan Prison in 2006, and since her release in 2014, they've kept in touch via a long-distance relationship.
Previously speaking to Woman's Day in March of this year, the former beautician shared her future baby plans.
"We've been able to meet each other once per year since my deportation from Bali two years ago," she said.
"Last year we met in My Khe Becach, Da Nang, Vietnam. And this year Phuket, Thailand.
"We are hoping to become pregnant on this trip together. I'm 42 this year and Ben is 38."
As for whether her plans actually eventuated, as of yet, there's no confirmation. Stay tuned.
3. Bear Grylls has shared photos from serious allergic reaction on set.
Despite drinking yak blood, eating a raw snake, and consuming slightly poisonous spiders, Bear Grylls has been undone by a bee sting.
The survivalist was filming for his reality survival show, Treasure Island with Bear Grylls, when he was stung by a bee and went into anaphylactic shock. Luckily an on-show medic injected him with an EpiPen and the 45-year-old was able to continue filming.
Speaking to the Daily Star, one of the contestants, Mano Shanmuganathan, recounted the "bizarre moment".
"The irony of Bear the survivalist being stung, having the potential of an allergic reaction, and needing to be treated with an EpiPen, was a bizarre moment. That was crazy!" he said.
Despite the potentially life-threatening accident, Grylls has shared a rare selfie on his Instagram, confirming to fans that he's A OK. And thank goodness for that.
4. A TV host recalls her “heartbreaking” conversation with Princess Diana.
It has been 22 years since Princess Diana lost her life, aged 36, in a fatal car crash. And now, American journalist Katie Couric is remembering how it felt to report the news to the rest of the world, while she too was mourning the loss.
"I was so upset and holding my breath like the rest of the world. But eventually, Brian Williams announced she had died. I was devastated," Couric wrote in a first-person story for InStyle magazine on Friday.
Couric had the opportunity to meet with the Princess in 1996 during a lunch in Chicago.
"I was nervous to meet Princess Diana and was seated two seats away from her at lunch,'' she wrote. "We chatted and she told me she liked my pink lipstick. Funny. Then I said something like, 'You must be exhausted travelling and meeting so many people and having to shake hands with all these strangers. Are you excited to go home?'
"I will never forget her response: 'I would be, but I’m going home to an empty house.'
Her comments came just as she was finalising her divorce from Prince Charles, who later went on to marry Camilla, now Duchess of Cornwall. Couric remembers Diana as "melancholy and lonely".
"My heart broke a little for her. 'Why don’t you invite some friends over and have a slumber party?' I playfully suggested. She just tilted her head and looked at me quizzically."
"Yes, she was a princess, but somehow, she was like all of us,'' Couric wrote.
5. How is their skin so... glowy? 3 Bachelor contestants share their beauty routines.
If you’re watching The Bachelor (bah, of course you are), there’s probably a number of thoughts going through your mind during each episode.
For us, one of the questions that’s been on our minds this season is the contestants’ beauty routines.
So we asked three Bachelor contestants to share exactly what they put on their faces. Skincare, makeup, hair care and everything in between.
Abbie, 24
Skincare: "In the mornings, I wash my face with either a La Roche Posay cleanser or Cetaphil in the shower, then tone with Witch Hazel. I then pat dry my face with a clean towel and apply my serums in the following order: HA Glow Serum, alternating with Drunk Elephant Vitamin C Serum, Hylamide Low Molecular HA Serum and The Ordinary Buffet. I finish with moisturiser and sunscreen. I have only recently been using the HA Glow serum and I love it. It gives me a natural, glowy look that allows me to wear less makeup!"
Makeup: "I apply my Revlon Photoready™ Perfecting Primer with my fingers and then The Ordinary Full Coverage Foundation with a Glam By Manicare GP2 Buffing Foundation Brush. I then use my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer under my eyes and on spots and blend with a damp Beauty Blender. I apply Maybelline Dream Bouncy Bronzer (discontinued) with a dense blush brush to just below my cheek bones and around my hairline to make my face glow before taking a fluffy eyeshadow blush and to use it as a bronzy eyeshadow."
