1. Tziporah Malkah claims she had “intense” sexual chemistry with her former almost-father-in-law, Kerry Packer.
James Packer was the envy of plenty when he announced his engagement to model Tziporah Malkah (then known as Kate Fischer) in 1996.
But according to Tziporah herself, there was a surprising figure among the green-eyed blokes of Australia: James’ father, late media mogul, Kerry Packer.
“Kerry was so jealous I was with James,” the 46-year-old told The Weekend Australian. “Kerry wanted me and I wanted him too. He was 6’1” and his hands were massive, of course, and he had these penetrating eyes.
“Kerry and I never touched each other. Not really. We would only hug — but the chemistry was intense.”
Tzioporah, who appeared on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2017, was engaged to the young businessman for two years before they split, ending their five-year relationship.
“In the end, I proved too challenging, even for Kerry,” she said. “He told James, ‘Son, you don’t need to go home to that every night.’”
James went on to marry Jodhi Meares the following year (the marriage lasted less than three), and then Erica Packer, with whom he had three children before they split in 2013. Oh, and who could forget the infamous nine-month engagement to Mariah Carey.
2. Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson seem to be entirely unfazed by cheating rumours.
Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson don't have time for your false break-up rumours, thank you very much.
Last week, sources told tabloid publications that Simpson was spotted kissing another a girl.
However, the couple, who have been dating since October 2019 after years of friendship, were swift to squash the split rumours.
Posting to her Instagram stories, Miley Cyrus shared a number of photos with her boyfriend, including one captioned, "Start dating your friend ASAP."
"Besties," she captioned another image.
Cody Simpson, who won Masked Singer Australia this year, subsequently posted a video of himself and Cyrus on his own Instagram.
Sooo, in short, THEY'RE TOGETHER. The end.
3. “You publicly humiliated me." Kevin Hart's wife, Eniko, details how she discovered he was cheating.
Kevin Hart's wife, Eniko Parrish, has detailed the moment she discovered via social media that her husband was cheating on her.
In his new Netflix documentary, Kevin Hart: Don’t F**k This Up, the comedian chronicles the raw and unfiltered moments of his life, including the devastation he caused to his wife by cheating on her when she was pregnant with their first child together.
"How I found out was a DM. I don’t know who it was," Parrish recounted.
"I was pregnant at that time, I was about seven or eight months pregnant. I was having breakfast, I opened my phone and immediately I just lost it. I called him, I’m crying, I’m like pissed. Right then and there, I kept saying, ‘How the f**k did you let that happen?'"
"You publicly humiliated me," she remembered telling him. "Your whole everything’s on Instagram, everything’s on social media. It was an ongoing fight all the time. Every single day," she continued. "I kept questioning him, like, ‘If this is what you’re gonna do, I don’t want to be a part of that.’"
Kevin Hart reflected on that moment himself in the docuseries, saying in an interview: "The worst part was just knowing how you made somebody feel.
"There’s a major effect it could have on the people that you are closest to, who you love the most. When I got to see that first-hand with Eniko when I got to see the effect my reckless behaviour had … It was crushing, that tore me up. That really tore me up."
4. That’s Dame Olivia Newton-John, thank you very much.
Bow down, plebs, because national treasure Olivia Newton-John is about to become a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire. (Basically, the female equivalent of a knighthood.)
The new title, approved by Queen Elizabeth herself, was announced via the UK's New Year's honours list and is to be bestowed upon the British-born, Australian-raised Grease actress in recognition of her services to charity, cancer research and entertainment.
“I am extremely excited, honoured and grateful beyond words to be included with such an esteemed group of women who have received this distinguished award before me,” she said.
“As a girl born in Cambridge, I am very proud of my British ancestry and so appreciative to be recognised in this way by the United Kingdom.”
ONJ has become a vocal advocate for breast cancer research, having been diagnosed with the disease in 1992. The 71-year-old revealed last year that she was enduring a third bought in as many decades after doctors discovered a tumour in her lower back in 2017.
5. Chris Brown’s daughter got a box of cash for Christmas.
Look, maybe rapper Chris Brown was short on time come December 24 because his gift to five-year-old, Royalty Brown, was literally just a box filled with cash.
We don't know exactly how, erm, generous the gift was. But Royalty shared an Instagram video of the moment she opened her present (filmed by her mother, Nia Guzman), and let's just say it was a very thick wad of bills.
His wasn't the only over-the-top pressie given by a celeb this festive season.
