Turia Pitt has revealed she's pregnant with her first child.

Turia Pitt has faced innumerable challenges in her life. And now, she’s adding one more to the list: mum.

Yes, the 29-year-old mining engineer and her fiance Michael Hoskin are expecting their first child.

The couple shared the happy news on Sunday’s episode of 60 Minutes.

“We’re stoked. We couldn’t be happier,” Michael told host Allison Langdon.

“Turia told me the other day she’s the happiest she’s ever been in her life.”

Most Australians would be familiar with the story of Turia Pitt. In 2011, she was competing in an ultra-marathon in Western Australia when she and three other runners became trapped by a huge grass fire.
