WATCH: This ATM charges men more for being, well, men. Rad...

ATMs can be so damn annoying. The lines, the 2 dollar fees, all of the germs on the dirty old key pads and that ruddy gender pay gap  fee.

Wait, what?

Yes, you read that correctly.

A mandatory deduction fee to compensate the gender wage gap – meaning that when men withdraw cash in Australia, they get 16% less to even things up.

Okay, okay, you caught us. We’re joking. But for at least ONE WHOLE DAY this real life  Swiss bank – was not.

April 9th was Equal Pay day, and it saw a Swiss bank donning their best trickster cap in cooperation with a local women’s organisation, to create awareness around this still astonishing issue. Take a look:

When men tried to withdraw CHF100 from the ATM, they received CHF80 instead. Angry? Frustrated? Irate? Yep, the blokes in this video are all of these things, and then the ATM receipts explained the prank. We say 100 awesome points to the bank.

In Australia, women earn 80c for every dollar a man earns over a lifetime. In the United States the pay gap is a large 23%, and in Switzerland it’s 20%. The men’s faces in this video sum everything that is wrong about this issue up. Frustration. But the joke? Priceless.

What do you think about this video? Would you like to see a gender based ATM fee put in place?

Good time to see this report http://www.dca.org.au/files...

Basically only 35% of the pay gap is unexplained - i.e. wasn't included in the variables and may be due to sex discrimination.

I've stopped caring. Honestly, I don't care about being aid as much as someone else, I'm happy to have less if it means I have to work less hours and have more time to do things like, I don't know, LIVE A LITTLE!
