On the hunt for a new sex toy? Unsure what to go for and whether or not you need a newly fandangled suction element? Well, BREATHE. Because the Mamamia sex toy reviews are here to help. We get real women to get real intimate with real sex toys and then tell us about them.
This week Shannen (she/her), a 24-year-old editorial assistant at Mamamia, reviews Vacation Vibes' The Byron Vibrator.
What does the sex toy claim to do?
The Byron Vibrator is the type of sex toy that comes with a theme. Created by Vacation Vibes, it is clear The Byron is made to be used while travelling. It's small enough to fit into a carry-on and seems powerful enough to make you go the distance.
The Byron claims to be a silicone-safe and water-resistant (but NOT waterproof people!) vibrator with 10 suction settings and one hour of usage.
The website also says it is a "universal and beautiful pleasure device designed to mimic oral stimulation for female and couple pleasure".
I don't mean to commit a spoiler felony, but The Byron is a lot better than standard oral stimulation. This bad boy means business.
What was your first impression of the sex toy? (Just by looking at it)
It is SMALL. And LIGHT. On the Uber ride home, I pulled it out of the box and noticed it fit in the small flap of my handbag. It's the pocket rocket of vibrators.
How much is the sex toy? And do you think it’s worth it?
The Byron is $59.99 which is actually pretty perfect for a vibrator. It doesn't claim to rearrange your insides and I appreciate that. Instead, it promises intense oral stimulation on the clitoris, which I can confirm it delivered!
I've tested vibrators that cost double, and sometimes triple (even quadruple on the rare occasion) so, yes. The Byron is definitely worth the price and frankly, I was surprised to learn how inexpensive it was.
What was it like using the sex toy? And how did it really feel?
10 settings for a vibrator is a lot but I have to admit they didn't feel all that different when I actually tried them out.
Each setting has a standard, similar vibration but what stood out to me was the buttons that made the vibration stronger and weaker. The Byron has an insane amount of power, like, almost too much (but not really...).
However, this vibrator can dull down to just the faintest of vibrations. Which I loved, because sometimes we think we can handle more than we actually can.
Describe the sex toy in three words:
Pocket. Bloody. Rocket.
This sex toy is best for people who want…
Guaranteed pleasure.

Run, don't walk, to get one for yourself.
