1. “Those were tears of relief.” The Bachelor Abbie’s sister comes to her defence on Instagram.
On Thursday night’s episode of The Bachelor, four of Bachie Matt Agnew’s top contenders were surprised with a visit from a loved one.
It was lovely and touching and nice, but for one bachelorette, the moment was particularly emotional.
Abbie Chatfield, the woman who spilled the beans in regards to the whole dog c*** incident of 2019, was brought to full blown tears seeing her older sister Jolie. And some of the other contestants *cough* Sogand *cough* thought it was a bit fake much.
Because The Bachelor 2019 contestants are not contractually allowed to get into fights on Instagram, Jolie defended her sister’s emotional reaction with a series of Instagram stories.
"The first thing Abbie said to me when we saw each other during filming was, 'I'm so glad you're here, it's been so awful.' Straight up those were tears of relief to see someone she knew she could trust," Jolie wrote.
"I love my sister so much, watching how she's being treated (and edited) breaks my god damn heart because I know how genuine she is."
Jolie also addressed the chat of how Abbie is lying about wanting marriage and kids to make Matt happy.
"Growing up in a single parent household like ours kind of conditions you to not see marriage as a shiny ticket to being a whole and happy person. Abbie's statements were not contradictory. We have talked at length about how the institution of marriage stems from a pretty backwards patriarchal idea of women.. and also just in general how we see weddings as a waste of money."
"Marriage is something you do because you have found someone you truly love not just because it's something you have planned in your 'timeline'. Five years is a long time to grow and feel like you would be 'ready' for marriage and kids, ESPECIALLY when you're in your 20s!!!!"
Honestly, we're still not sure how Abbie's storyline on the reality show will unfold, but we'll be watching to find out.
2. Apparently The Wiggles' Lachy Gillespie has "found love" with ballerina Dana Stephensen.
It has been one year since The Wiggles couple Emma Watkins and Lachlan Gillespie announced their divorce, following two years of marriage.
Now, The Daily Telegraph is reporting Gillespie, the purple wiggle, is dating the Australian Ballet senior artist Dana Stephensen.
It's believed the rumoured new couple met while on set for the children's TV show, with Stephenson sharing a number of photos to her Instagram last December of her performing with The Wiggles alongside cast members, including Watkins and Gillespie.
"What an amazing group of people we had the pleasure of working with today, The Wiggles!" Stephensen wrote in her caption. "I’m absolutely in awe of their talents and humbled by their kindness."
A source told The Daily Telegraph that fellow Wiggles members are pleased for the new couple, and that "He and Emma remain good friends and both want the best for one another."
3. Excuse us, but The Bachelor's Matt Agnew just graduated with a PhD.
Well. We already knew Matt Agnew was unlike any bachelor before him. Mostly because he isn't an... influencer.
But now he's gone and proven just how intelligent he really is, graduating this week with a PhD. Sir, you are too pure for the reality TV world.
Announcing the news on his Instagram, Dr. Matt Agnew (that is his official title, thank you very much) shared a sweet photo with his parents by his side, holding a sign that reads: "Thank you Mum & Dad".
"Absolutely delighted this week to be accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry," the bachelor joked.
"Really though, I had the great pleasure of attending my graduation to formally receive my PhD. Thanks to everyone who has supported me in getting this far!"
Although he didn't mention the subject matter of his PhD, Dr Matt did tell the Kyle and Jackie O Show recently: "The research that I’m involved in is trying to figure out where we should look to find another planet like Earth.
"I think there’s a handful of places even within our own solar system where it looks like all the ingredients for life are there, so I think there’s a chance that in the next half century that we’ll find evidence of that."
This man really couldn't get any more different than Nick 'Honey Badger' Cummins if he tried. We love it.
4. GOOD NEWS: A Breaking Bad movie starring Aaron Paul is coming to Netflix this October.
It's been six years since Breaking Bad fans said goodbye to Walter White, Jesse Pinkman and Los Pollos Hermanos.
Sure, audiences have been satisfied with the Stan spin-off series Better Call Saul, but it wasn't the same. Now, we know a Breaking Bad movie is coming to Netflix in a matter of months.
It's called El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie and will follow the life of Paul's character Jesse Pinkman, the meth cook and former partner of Walter White.
Written and directed by Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie will be released on Netflix on October 11.
Netflix released an official plot description, saying, “In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future.”
That's about all we know for now. No word on which other characters will make a comeback... except Walter White. RIP.
5. "The one thing I so dearly wanted couldn’t be planned." Jennifer Hawkins shares her fertility struggle.
In May, Jennifer Hawkins announced on social media she and her husband, model, property developer and entrepreneur Jake Wall, are expecting their first child together – a daughter due in Spring, 2019.
It was a picture-perfect pregnancy announcement, but what we didn’t see on Instagram was the couple’s very private, years-long struggle with infertility.
In an exclusive cover interview with Stellar, Hawkins has spoken for the first time about her experiences with infertility, including a miscarriage.
In 2017, the couple who have been together 16 years and married for six learnt Hawkins was pregnant. At their first scan, they were told there was no heartbeat.
“Last year was such a tough year for Jake and me. It was the toughest year of our lives. I felt like I almost broke and, in fact, it’s still really raw. But Jake was amazing. He let me sit with the pain, feel it and not be OK,” 35-year-old Hawkins told the publication.
“As a woman and a type A personality, I’m used to planning everything. I think this will happen, then this will happen. It seemed like a lifetime as month after month people constantly asked us when we were going to have a baby.
“I had so many years of planning, but the one thing I so dearly wanted couldn’t be planned. Everything crumbled. Women want everything to be OK. Sometimes it’s just not.”
