The male orgasm will never go to waste again. (Not that they ever thought they were.)
According to the art world, acrylic paints are now very old-fashioned and probably lame.
Instead, the next big thing is… well… it’s semen.
Yeah. It’s probably not for everyone.
But once you get your head around the idea of using bodily fluids (that are usually very quickly discarded) for art, you can start to appreciate the beauty of the work created by Faith Holland using images of semen. Really, just look at her piece Ookie Canvas 1:
Sub/emissions is another artwork by Holland that incorporates semen:
Speaking to Mamamia, Holland said Ookie Canvas was created by “screen capping videos on RedTube, my porn home where I also host a series of videos called Porn Interventions. Then I mask out the cum from its background, collage it onto the “canvas” and colour it.”
By comparison, the crowd-sourced Sub/emissions work was done in a similar way, but “all of the images were sent to me via email or anonymous dropbox in response to an open call.”
Holland said this artwork was about “the mandate to visualise a feeling and the privileging of men’s orgasms evident in cum shots.”
If you’re feeling brave, Holland also sent through some of the photo submissions to the Sub-emissions artwork.
We want to give fair warning that these images are NSFW, and you are clicking at your own risk (of course you are, you pervy person, you):
Submissions for sub/emissions.
Welcome back, we hope you’re OK.
So what’s next for Holland? How could you possibly top digitally altered “cum shots”?
“Right now I’m preparing for GIFs to Have Sex By happening as part of Technophilia at TRANSFER on July 11. It will be a screening of GIFs from more than 40 artists who were asked to make visuals for some sweet lovemaking with oneself, a partner, or a device. The GIFs will be online the next day at Digital Sweat Gallery.”
We will of course keep you updated when this is launched.

Pfft, this has been done for ages. Pretty sure it's how Jackson Pollock made 'Blue Poles'...
Wow, didn't know that. Do you think that 'Veined' might have been censored?
I feel like a byline using the word 'seminal' was a lost opportunity.
LOL despite my better judgement - I'm happy to pay that.
