Ronan Keating talks openly about cheating on his wife, the mother of his three kids.

Ronan Keating has publicly apologised for cheating on the mother of his three children and ex-wife, Yvonne Connolly, over six years ago.

The singer, 38, was married to Connolly for 12 years before revelations he had sex with a backing dancer broke, ultimately spelling the couple’s divorce.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, the Irishman admitted his actions were “weak” and unfair to his former wife.

“If you’re man enough to have the balls to go home and say, ‘Sorry, this isn’t working any more’, that’s the ideal situation, isn’t it? But we’re weak. We don’t do that.

“So yes, I hurt people and I am sorry for that hurt, but the outcome is I found Storm and I’m very grateful. But I’m saying I’m sorry.”

Watch some of the Mamamia team reveal the moment they knew it was time for a divorce (post continues after video).

Together, Keating and Connelly had three children, Jack, 16, Missy, 14, and Ali, 10. While it was a turbulent few years that saw his family torn apart, Keating says his relationship with his kids is now stronger than ever.

“I’m hands on. We have conversations about what we’ve come through as a family. I’m a good dad. I’m proud of that.”

As for finding love, the singer says he’s happy with new wife, Aussie TV presenter and model, Storm Uechritz, by his side.

“I’m happier than I’ve ever been.

“Storm makes me feel secure. It’s very refreshing. I haven’t had that before.”

He and Storm wed last August in a lavish Scottish ceremony, away from the prying eyes of the press.

“I’ve always had to work to feel reassured, to feel secure, and that’s not nice because you don’t know where you stand. I put up a front to make people think I had all of this confidence in myself, which I didn’t.

“I’ve always been quite an insecure person.”

Have you ever cheated? What would you say to your ex if you had the chance?

Sounds a bit like 'sorry not sorry' to me!

Credit to him for admitting fault and apologising. Most many men just gloss over it and blame their wife.
Once kids are old enough to work out the truth for themselves though they usually realise their dad is an a***hole.
