Sydney maths tutor Quy Huy Hoang has been sentenced to 24 years in prison for molesting young children between the ages of three and seven, from three separate families.
The 68-year-old, also known as Peter Hoang, committed the crimes while teaching the five children between January 2007 and July 2014.
He was convicted of five counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 10 and five counts of indecent assault.
Hoang will not be due for release on parole until October 2033.
The prosecution was calling for a life sentence for Hoang.
Last year, the New South Wales Parliament increased the maximum penalty for sexual intercourse with a child under 10 from 25 years to life in jail.
In victims impact statements read during sentence submissions, the mothers of the children spoke of how Hoang had violated their trust and taken their children’s innocence.
More to come.

How could this have happened more than once? Wouldn't intercourse with a child result in serious injuries, enough to send them to hospital? How on earth did it happen with more than one child, and more than once? I can't fathom it.
Throw away the bloody key!!!!
