I have to run guys but thanks for the great chat! This has been so fun
All of the Hemsworths, as one character
Lincoln Louis
@Emmeline Petersongosh that was such a heartbreaking portrayal in Ghosts as well.
It's interesting how fictional books can be so educational about issues such as dementia
@emma.gillman so true. I think we can all relate to that
@Billi Fitzsimons Hmm.. maybe because males are more likely to be murderers in real life
@Billi Fitzsimons I think Kieran's admission that some of the things he took part in were not even fun/enjoyable speaks to that toxic masculinity culture where you do things because of cultural pressures rather than your own wants.
It really is, I just came back from tassie a few weeks ago and wow, now I want to write a book.
@Clare Stephens yeah unrelatable murder stories are so hard to immerse yourself in.
Perhaps, maybe an epilogue with a bit of explanation then Billi!
I kind of felt like it needed another chapter after. I kept on turning the page expecting there to be a bit more.
Yeah it was kind of... an abrupt ending.
This really got me out of a reading rut. I agree Emmeline, the setting was so atmospheric.
Hey guys! Can't wait to chat about this book! :)
@navyescape I can't imagine what that's like, I really feel for you and your partner. I hope you can reunite as soon as possible. <3
I love The High Low Podcast with Dolly Alderton and Pandora Sykes. Two wonderfully hilarious Brits who discuss everything from their favourite literature to to the trashiest celeb stories - but always with an intellectual angle. I always finish listening to their episodes with a really long list of things to read, watch, listen to... oh and the episodes are always around an hour and a half so it's perfect if you like long podcasts!
