Kate has revealed that, just before his first birthday, the royal baby is on the move.
It’s a special moment for all parents, and it’s no different if you’re royal. Prince George turns one next month, has taken his first royal steps and his parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge couldn’t be more thrilled.
It was during a brunch on Tuesday with the America’s Cup yachting team in Greenwich, London that mum Kate revealed that George was walking. He was just about standing up on his own during his visit to Australia and New Zealand in April and even managed to bounce up and down on his feet at the zoo when he met a cute little bilby.
William and Kate have big ambitions for their little heir-to-the-throne and most of them will require some sort of royal gait. For example, mum Kate wants George to learn to sail as soon as possible. Apparently she already has her eye on a little kid's sailing boat called a Optimist dingy which is designed for kids aged 7-8.
Now that he's taken his first few steps we can imagine the family home, Kensington Palace, being urgently baby-proofed to prevent the precious toddler from getting into too much mischief.
How old were your kids when they took their first steps? What changes did you have to make to your home to keep them safe?
