The petite clothing brands you need to add to your radar.

Stocking your wardrobe with clothes that suit you, your style and the vibe you want to give off to the world is difficult at the best of times, and if you're petite, it just adds another variable to the mix.

The average Australian woman does not have supermodel proportions, but it seems so many brands are failing to recognise that. Instead, they're choosing to cater to the vertically blessed among us!

Shorter women are stuck with jeans that pool at the bottom of their ankles, and it's become the norm to spend extra on tailoring.

But with pieces like playsuits and dresses, that can be a little trickier.

So I've been on the hunt to find ranges specifically for girls 5'3 and under or that provide plenty of sizing options so you can find perfectly fitting pieces.

Keep reading to see the petite brands I recommend adding to your rotation.

Abrand Jeans.

Whether you're tall or short, Abrand is THE denim brand to turn to when you want well-fitting jeans in a multitude of styles. The petite range includes high and low-rise styles, as well as straight-leg and skinny jeans. The options are truly endless.

Everlane.

Sustainable and well-made are the words I would use to describe Everlane.

Yes, it's on the pricier side, but the quality is great so whatever you buy will last you for years and years. The brand doesn't have a specific petite range, however, you can choose the lengths of trousers, and they have a wide selection of cropped jumpers.

ASOS Petite.

If you prefer to follow trends and ditch the notion of a capsule wardrobe then ASOS Petite is your best friend. They have an enormous selection of clothes that range from everyday basics to bedazzled statement pieces. You'll be scrolling through the site for hours.

Forever New.

Is your style more feminine and soft? Or maybe you're on the hunt for some cute corporate wear? If so, Forever New has a fantastic selection of petite clothing, ranging from flowy dresses to two-piece power suits.

Uniqlo.

Uniqlo is another brand that doesn't carry a specific line for petite women, however, their clothes just work for those 5'3 and under. The leg length of the trousers runs quite small, so if you're tired of buying trousers that bunch up near your feet, you won't have that issue with Uniqlo.

Target Australia.

We all love Target, it's a national treasure at the end of the day and for good reason. Target has a fabulous range of clothes, and their petite range is no exception. From work wear to everyday basics, the department store has nailed petite dressing.

Madewell Petite.

Another sustainable brand in case so you can shop consciously.

Madewell is perfect for staple pieces and everything they do stock is made with quality in mind. The label has everything from denim to skirts, so you're bound to find something you like.

At Mamamia, we independently curate and write about products we rave about in our group chats and think you should know about too. If you purchase a product we have recommended, we may earn a small commission.
