Thousands of journalists have written millions of words in their efforts to capture the hysteria around Donald Trump’s first six weeks in office.
Then along comes a seven-year-old who pretty much nails it in two.
Alice Oswalt, daughter of actor Patton Oswalt, wrote a postcard to the Commander in Chief in which she bluntly tells him to… wait for it…
“Calm down”.
She’s also kindly provided a visual illustration to ensure the President gets a proper handle on her not-so-executive order.
Alice = cool-face emoji.
POTUS = shocked-face emoji.
The primary schooler’s proud pappa shared a photo on his Twitter account of her clutching the note, along with the caption, “Alice just made this postcard for President Trump. I just mailed it.”
Patton’s followers are suitably impressed with his daughter’s pithy political analysis – the Tweet has been like more than 53,000 times and re-tweeted more than 8,000.
This week, under President Trump…(Post continues after podcast.)
“This kid is darling,” wrote one commenter.
“Might be a little over @realDonaldTrump’s head,” suggested another.
“We are all Alice,” proclaimed another.
Inevitably there were also calls for Alice to run the country when she grows up. But we’re not sure about that – she seems a little too smart.

Calm Down.
Great advice only she sent it to the wrong person.
She should have sent it to Meryl Streep and asked her to read it out to the masses at some award event other.
Right on cue.

Right wing poll? Are can you give someone negative positive press? If he stops being an idiot they'd stop having idiotic things to show us.
