Last week I was down in Canberra to host a webinar (you can see it here if you’re interested) for the Department of Human Services. Afterwards, I met some of the people from the department including Hannah who blew my mind:
You see, in her spare time, Hannah is a nail blogger. I didn’t know there was such a thing either. I clearly need to get out more. But Hannah paints her nails in the most extraordinary designs most days. “But how do you do your other hand?” was the first question I asked her. “Practice,” she shrugged before showing me this special nail she’d painted just for the occasion of meeting me:
The Mamamia logo colours! Well hot damn if this girl is not supremely clever and very very sweet. Of course I then had to immediately follow her on Instagram and Facebook (and another blogger who writes about healthy food called @FitHealthyMade and blogs at themerrymakersisters.com) where I got lost in all sorts of incredible nail art.

Over to you – what’s going on in your world?

Hello fellow Mamamia readers..
I was just wondering, with regard to medical specialists...how much should be expected in terms of them remembering info since your last consult?
I have two different specialists for two different conditons who work together at times (one referred me to the other)... I was highly anxious about a certain operation i needed to have with specialist A, which specialist B would often ask me about/encouage me and support me.
After many months I finally had the operation and specialist B asked me all about it and we spoke at length about it... I had to see specialist B again for a check
Up 2 months later.. And they asked me 'so, did you end up having the operation with specialist A?'... I was a bit confused and I just realized they had obviously forgotten everything and just relayed it all again.
I can't help but feel a bit strange about this. Is this perfectly understandable? Sorry if I'm over reacting.
So my week has been all kinds of eventful.
- I was made redundant at my job.
- I have just had my second embryo transfer for IVF and in the dreaded two week wait. Have 8 more days to go until I have my blood test.
- A girl I use to be friends with had one of her minions attack me on twitter then proceed to say nasty things about me on facebook. Because ya know being in your late 20's means "let act like 14yr olds". But I am just so tired of it. Constantly having to block people on social media so they cant attack me. But hey, I've come to the conclusion that she is actually a PHYSCO and I just need to ignore her, which I have done.
Trying to remain stress free for my little embryo inside me. Really want this one to work!!!
You can live your best life by only having people in it who are positive and want the best for you.
Block all the rest on social media as you have done.
I wish you lots and lots of luck with this embryo transfer - and maybe this time next year it will be a baby!
Hugs
