What I Put On My Face is Mamamia’s series that takes you inside the beauty cabinets of some of Australia’s most influential people. From what skincare products they use to their go-to makeup tips, it’s a pervy look at exactly what they put on their face. And body. And hair. You get the idea.

This week, we speak to Olivia Molly Rogers about the beauty products she reaches for and her all-time favourite fragrance. Enjoy!

You know those people you don't know personally, but reckon you'd be friends with if you did?

That's how we feel about Olivia Molly Rogers.

The Melbourne-based content creator and former Miss Universe Australia is a breath of fresh air online.

She's constantly smiling, has candid conversations about things influencers don't usually share, and wears the coolest clothes (that we'd be borrowing, obviously).

She's also just been announced as an ambassador for tbh skincare, which is launching into 400 Priceline stores nationally.

We spoke to Olivia to hear all about her makeup, skin and haircare routine. Here's what she told us.

Olivia's approach to beauty.

"I would say it's fun and open-minded," the influencer told Mamamia

As part of her job, Olivia regularly attends events and photoshoots. That's when she likes to have fun with beauty - switching up her hair and makeup often.

"I like to experiment with different trends and just enjoy it," she said.

One of the topics Olivia's been open about on socials is having acne - it's a skin concern she's been dealing with for over 15 years.

"My skin journey has been a long and frustrating one to be honest," she said.

"Other acne sufferers will know just how much your skin impacts your confidence and mood - it can be exhausting."

Olivia started breaking out when she hit puberty, and since then she's tried "everything from prescribed medication to natural remedies, ointments and intense products which burnt my skin and stained my sheets".

She finally found a "great dermatologist who helped with laser treatments" and perfected her skincare routine, using simple but effective products.

"Now that my acne has settled, my skin is pretty normal - I don’t get particularly oily or dry... and my skincare routine is quite simple," she said.

Olivia's morning routine begins with a splash of water, followed by the tbh skincare thirst trap moisturiser, ($34.95), and skin shady 50+ sunscreen, ($39.95). (The range is designed for acne-prone skin.)

She takes her makeup off with Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water, ($29.99), before cleansing with tbh gentle cleanser, ($24.95), the brand's rebound serum, ($59.95), and the same moisturiser she uses in the morning.

"If my skin needs a bit of extra nourishment, I add in Weleda Skin Food Light, ($16.99)," she said.

"It’s nice to not feel consumed by the state of my skin anymore."

"My everyday makeup look is pretty easy," Olivia tells us. "It might sound like a lot to non-makeup users, but it’s not too much for me and it makes me feel fresh."

Olivia uses L'Oréal Paris True Match Liquid Foundation, ($33.99), every day. "It's so great," she told us - followed by the Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer, ($10), under her eyes and on any breakouts.

For bronzer she turns to the Maybelline Face Studio City Bronze Powder, ($17.99) - "it's the perfect shade" - and L'Oréal Paris True Match Blush, ($26.99), for some cheek colour.

She skips brow products, and just brushes them up, before finishing with L'Oréal Paris Paradise Mascara, ($25.99), and Maybelline Lifter Gloss in Topaz, ($12.39).

"When my acne was stressing me out, I wouldn’t leave the house without concealer. But now, I won’t leave the house without lip gloss," she said.

"I try to only wash my hair once or twice a week to avoid too much heat damage and keep it healthy," she said.

All she does to achieve her signature style is spray her hair with water, put a hair treatment in and slick it in place using gel.

When she does have her hair out, Olivia always uses "a generous amount of heat protectant spray and good quality styling tools" to avoid damage.

"At night, I sleep on a silk pillowcase which helps to keep it soft and fresh," she added.

Olivia's go-to fragrance.

Olivia opts for fragrances that are light and fresh - and there's a cult scent she loves that perfectly fits that description.

"I’ve been a big fan of Marc Jacobs' Daisy EDT, ($112), for years," she told us.

"I have a lot of memories attached to this scent, so it's very nostalgic."

Olivia's health and wellbeing routine.

"Exercise always helps me, whether it’s a run or walk outside. It helps to clear my mind and relax," she said.

The former Miss Universe contestant also loves a warm bath, and cleaning her apartment to music.

"It weirdly calms me - there is something so satisfying and peaceful about having a tidy home," she said.

"Sleep is a huge priority for me too; I always feel my best when I’m making enough time for a good night’s sleep."
