We hit the 'pink carpet' at the celebrity screening of Bridget Jones’s Baby.

Thanks to our brand partner, Bankwest

Mamamia hit the red carpet over the weekend to attend the celebrity preview screening of Bridget Jones’s Baby thanks to Bankwest.

Four lucky Bankwest customers won the chance to rub shoulders with stars of the film, Renee Zellweger and Patrick Dempsey.

Speaking to attendees, we sought out everything from parenting advice to financial guidance. We even got the low-down on Bridget’s role model status and interrogated movie-goers about their very own Bridget Jones moment (luckily Bridget has already imparted more than enough knowledge about granny panties no one made that faux-pas).

Bankwest are proudly partnering with Mamamia to offer 150 double passes to a preview screening: click here to enter. T&Cs apply.

Was anyone else irritated by the sexism of the film? Apart from the momentary glimpse of the possibility of Bridget being a single mum, she eventually gets rescued by two men and her final triumph is as wife-and-mum. Not to mention the fact that she's lost her job, so presumably Darcy will be providing financial support (no need to worry about independence ladies) and the hideous moment when Bridget's boss kisses (without consent - perhaps this was a form of punishment?) the strong female boss of the TV station. Gross.
