Who run the world? Girls.
Forbes has announced their annual Most Powerful Women ranking — and the list is unsurprisingly impressive.
Topping the list is German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who has featured on the list 12 other times.
But this year, there is a remarkable newcomer — our favourite Gen Y representative, Taylor Swift, who is the youngest woman to make that list at the ripe old age of 25. She came in at #64 on the list.
Queen Bey came in at #21.
Angelina Jolie, Shakira and Sofia Vergara also received a nod, but none ranked as highly as Oprah Winfrey at #12.
Gina Rinehart carried the torch for Australia as the only Aussie to make the list at #37. (Hey, she ranked higher than the Queen.)
But if you need a few role models that you don’t see in the news every day, browse the incredible number of CEOs, leaders and tech geniuses who are running the world.
