1. Oh. Apparently Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson have “no plans” to start dating.
The past month or so has been a whirlwind for Miley Cyrus who announced her divorce from Liam Hemsworth in August, before publicly dating Brody Jenner’s ex Kaitlynn Carter. And now, she’s reportedly seeing Australian singer Cody Simpson.
“Can a girl not get a f***ing acai bowl and a morning make out session in peace ???” Cyrus, 26, posted to her Instagram Stories alongside a papparazzi video of her kissing 22-year-old Simpson.
The Aussie singer posted to his Instagram Stories on Sunday, with a selfie of him and Cyrus, writing: “Pre swim breakfast courtesy of baby.”
But not so fast, rumour mill. Miley and Cody are not exclusively dating, despite their public displays of affection for each on Instagram.
According to a source who spoke to Entertainment Tonight, the pair share "no plans to start dating".
"Miley and Cody have been friends for years. They have hooked up in the past. Cody and Miley have no plans to start dating each other exclusively. They both just want to have fun and are open and honest with each other about that."
On Saturday, Cyrus posted a series of Instagram Stories, calling out anyone who wants to criticise her for kissing different people.
"Men (especially successful ones) are RARELY slut shamed. They move on from one beautiful young woman to the next MOST times without consequence. They are usually referenced as 'legends,' 'heartthrobs,' 'G,' 'Ladies Man' etc… where women are called sluts/whores! I am trying to just THRIVE / survive in a 'mans' world," Cyrus wrote.
2. Prince George going wild at a soccer match is the best thing we've seen all week.
Whenever Prince William and Kate Middleton step out in public, all eyes inevitably turn to the young royals, for quite obvious reasons.
And this weekend was no different.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoyed a family day out to watch their favourite soccer team, Aston Villa, but George's reactions quickly stole the show and had everyone talking.
You see, while Prince George may only be six years old, he's already a very passionate soccer fan and loves to get behind his team.
In a video shared by Kensington Royal on Instagram, George is seen cheering for his team and excitedly bouncing up and down on his seat watching the game.
It's in slow motion too, which makes the whole thing even more adorable.
The team also gave a shout-out to their number one fan on Twitter.
Fans quickly responded with congratulatory messages and to praise his son's unique name.
"The smile says it all. Congratulations!" one person commented.
"Congratulations to you and your partner on your new arrival. How gorgeous! Beautiful name. All the best to you and your family," another added.
4. According to Elton John, Richard Gere and Sylvester Stallone fought over Princess Diana.
Musical legend Elton John has shared details about the late Princess Diana in his new autobiography Me, which Daily Mail obtained an exclusive excerpt from.
According to John, following her split from the Queen's son, Prince Charles, Diana nearly got caught in the middle of Richard Gere and Sylvester Stallone.
The 72-year-old writes that he was hosting a dinner party for Jeffrey Katzenberg, former Walt Disney Studios chairman, while John was writing music for The Lion King in 1994.
"Straight away, Richard Gere and Diana seemed very taken with each other," John recalls. At the time, Gere had just come out of his relationship with supermodel Cindy Crawford.
"They ended up sitting in front of the fireplace together, locked in rapt conversation," it reads.
"As the rest of us chatted, I couldn’t help notice a strange atmosphere in the room. Judging by the kind of looks he kept shooting them, Diana and Richard Gere’s newly blossoming friendship was not going down well with Sylvester Stallone at all.
"I think he may have turned up to the party with the express intention of picking Diana up, only to find his plans for the evening ruined."
The musician adds that his now husband, David Furnish, witnessed the two "squaring up to each other, apparently about to settle their differences over Diana by having a fist-fight."
But in the end, John writes, "Sylvester stormed off home".
5. Survivor-style voting and no house: Just all the wild rumours surrounding Big Brother 2020.
For a generation of Australians, the Big Brother household was like a loud uncle at a family gathering – sometimes amusing, often irritating, but always loveable.
In 2014, the show's departure left a gap. Everything was suddenly... quiet – a little too quiet. There was no more 'Oats A La Layla' singing, twins pretending to be the same person or cheating spouses. We missed it; more than we thought.
So the news this week that a new class of Australians will voluntarily enter a household to have their every move documented for the amusement of the public has been – understandably – met with sheer delight.
First reported by TV Blackbox, the show will be brought back by Channel Seven who have axed Sunday Night to do so.
Here's everything we know so far about the 2020 return of Big Brother Australia.
No... house.
Speaking to KIIS FM's Kyle & Jackie O on Friday, former Channel Ten executive producer Rob McKnight said, "It doesn’t look like [Seven is] going to build an actual house this year, it will be a house within a studio to keep costs down."
McKnight also reported the house is likely to be in Melbourne, rather than Gold Coast where it was previously filmed.
Which is a shame, because the house is in such good shape! Kidding. It is abandoned and looks not unlike a haunted house.
Watch: See a tour of the Big Brother house now. Post continues after video.
