Former Married At First Sight star Sean Hollands is getting married for real this time.
The Queensland farmer proposed to his girlfriend Roslyn Buerckner at the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday, announcing the happy news on Instagram.
A friend filmed the proposal for the couple – and while you can’t hear a word Sean said, it was very sweet.
Sean hinted in a follow-up Instagram post of the ring that the day had special significance for the couple.
But we’re guessing it has something to do with Roslyn’s love of horse racing. The Queenslander works as a bid spotter for thoroughbred auction house Magic Millions.
The proposal sounded like a bit of an elaborate affair – with Sean thanking those who kept secret and helped “the day come together”.
Sean was paired with Western Australian truck driver Susan Rawlings, 39, in the 2017 series of the Channel Nine reality show, but to the dismay of viewers, couldn’t make it work.
The 36-year-old revealed during an interview with Woman’s Day in February, that he had moved on with Roslyn, 35.
He explained how the pair had actually known each other for years, but had only recently started dating – which was perhaps why he was so ready to commit.
“I do plan to propose,” he told the magazine.
And nine months later, he has.
Meanwhile, Susan welcomed her first child, Ashton, in March.
