This two-minute tale of childhood molestation will kick you in the guts.
Written and directed by (normally comic) actor Andrew Bailey, the monologue describes a young boy’s molestation at the hands of a female teacher when he was 13-years-old. But she wasn’t a pedophile, she was just a ‘woman’. And he wasn’t a victim, he was ‘awesome’ for having sex so young.
This piece is chilling and in just two minutes it raises so questions:
Why is male rape often considered less serious than female rape? Why are young boys molested by adult women often considered ‘lucky’ or ‘heroes’, rather than as the victims of sexual assault that they are? And why is male rape so often used as a hilarious punchline?

I have a thirteen year old son who is well into puberty-and if a teacher ever touched him sexually, I have her up for statutory tape before she could blink. As Andrew Baily highlights by filming this- rape is rape and a breach of trust between an adult and a child is unacceptable. It's paedophilia be it perpetrated by a man or woman.
