Will Lysandra have to share her Block winnings with her ex?

The twins have won more than a million dollars on The Block, but will she have to hand over her share of the cash?

They may have been pipped to the post by shock winners Chantelle and Steve, but The Block‘s most recognisable duo, twins Alisa and Lysandra, still walked away from the show’s finale with a cool $616,000 to share between them.

However, according to reports today, there might be a third party in line for a cut of the winnings. Lysandra Fraser, 30, separated from her husband Ben Stevens in 2013, after five years of marriage. According to the Daily Mail, it’s possible Ben is entitled to some of the money as it’s not known whether their divorce had been finalised before The Block: Fans vs Faves got underway earlier this year.

Lysandra and Ben, who have two sons - Emerson, 3, and Cohen, 2 - separated in June last year, right after Lysandra wrapped up filming The Block: Sky High.

During filming of the series, Ben remained in Adelaide to look after the couple's two boys. At the time, Lysandra hinted at the strain on their marriage, saying, “[Ben] does full-time shift work, with two kids under three — so he’s got no downtime. He is really struggling.”

Following the split, a close friend of Ben, a shift worker, revealed he was left blindsided and "furious" by his wife's sudden decision to end their marriage. However, Lysandra insisted the split was amicable.

The former policewoman now has an interior design business with her twin sister, which they launched after winning last year's series with a $395,000 profit on their apartment.

This year they were runners-up, followed by fellow contestants Kara and Kyal and Brad and Dale.
