Almost a year after rumours began that she had had an “affair” with married Footy Show star Beau Ryan, Lauren Brant has a new outlook on life.
The former Hi-5 star shared a workout video on Instagram, telling fans that her difficult year has taught her a lot about herself.
“I used to spend most of my time trying to get others’ approval on stage and television,” she wrote.
“In the last year I have learnt so much about living for MY own happiness and with that has come strength and self love.”
In September last year, rumours emerged that Lauren and footy star Beau had an affair while working together on a stage production of Aladdin.
Lauren’s ex-fiancé told Woman’s Day magazine that he learned of the relationship by reading Brant’s text messages.
“She owned up to everything. She said she’d slept with him [Ryan] on two occasions in her hotel after rehearsals,” he alleged at the time.
“She said after they’d taken the photos they were still kind of staying pretty close to each other and then they started making out.”
Brant was forced to set her Instagram account to private after she was flooded with abuse from angry fans.
Now, Brant says she knows “who is important to me”.
“For anyone that has known me or followed me for a while, you know I am a big advocate for strong, powerful females who love themselves and support each other and that is what I always strive to be,” she wrote.
Fans were happy to see Brant back to her former, bright self.
“You are a true role model so positive,” wrote one fan.

Lol. Preach about female empowerment all you want, but that does not excuse the fact that you knowingly cheated with a married father (who equally shares every fault in the affair).
But we all have to move on sometime....
