A tissue exploded all over your clothes in the washing machine? Here's a simple solution.

There’s only one thing worse than accidentally washing a pink sock with your load of whites.

Yep, it’s leaving a tissue in the pocket of your pants, and discovering that it’s somehow managed to cover ALL OF YOUR CLOTHES during the washer’s rinse and spin cycle.

As tempting as it is to just put the affected clothes in a huge pile and just set them on fire, there is now another way.

And… it’s surprisingly easy.

According to Better Homes and Gardens the answer lies in your medicine cabinet.

Yep, adding aspirin to a machine will fizz away all your tissue angst.

According to the magazine, you can either add four aspirin to the inside of the machine before re-washing the clothes, or dissolve aspirin into a bucket of hot water and soak for a few hours, depending on how many items of clothing are affected.

And tissues aren't the only laundry drama that can be solved with a little bit of the common pain killer: they can also rid your clothes of those pesky underarm stains.

You know, the yellow ones that ruin an otherwise perfectly good white T-shirt?

LISTEN: Nat Bass reveals the life hacks that have saved her mornings on I Don't Know How She Does It.

Turns out, making a paste with crushed aspirin and water and spreading it on the stain will help.

Let it sit on the stain for a few minutes, before rinsing the paste off and laundering as normal.

Thank you, aspirin, for saving us from these (metaphorical) laundry headaches.

We always use something called a "Color Catcher" available in supermarkets in packets of 10 (I think), which, it seems, almost totally allows coloreds & whites etc to be washed together! The idea of using some Aspirin for when tissues get "washed" with clothes sounds very clever too!

Am I the only one that has never separated whites and colours? If I get new clothes I wash them separately once, but otherwise I put everything in the one load. Apart from a brand new item, I have never, Never, NEVER had ANY issue with coloured clothes being in with white. Do people really do that? Do two or three washes when it can all go in one? It seems like such a stupid almost superstitious thing and such a waste of water and detergent. Apart from once, in all the years I am yet to have a problem and my whites are all very white still. It seems like some lie/gimmick/conspiracy/scam from laundry people.

Unless your clothes are absolutely new, just chuck them in in the one load. Stop buying into the commercialism scam and hype. Its a load of rubbish, you're being conned and your water bill and our planet is paying for it.

Same. Life's too short for that shit. The only thing I wash separately are delicates and woolens.

I definitely have had issues, so I do separate my whites and colours. There's no reason it has to be wasteful - just wait until you have a full load of colours/whites and do a wash then. Quite simple.

You obviously need the *new improved* pumice stone.

Once I tried it, I never went back. My linen was crisper with the freshness of a spring shower and a hint of citrus, my hair got thicker, my car got more mileage per litre. Even our cat showed me some appreciation.

Pumice Stone 2 - you know it's you

Yup....I'm with you.
I have NEVER separated them either and haven't had an issue.
Also a quick go in the tumble dryer will remove your tissue.....seems more sensible than adding drugs to your washing.
