On your marks. Get set. Go for it Karl.
Don’t choke on your cornflakes if you see a little more of Karl Stefanovic than you are used to this morning.
The Today Show host has promised viewers a nudie run. Yep that’s right.
The FULL NUDE.
No the Logies wasn’t on last night. It was a pledge on Twitter about the Ashes that has seen him promise the nation to reveal all.
In an attempt to embolden the flailing Aussies playing the fourth Test in Nottingham he declared that if Michael Clarke did not score a century in the first innings he would get his gear off.
Turned out that Michael Clarke was the highest scorer of the day.
With 10 runs.
Karl, never one to back down from a challenge tweeted again:
And then followed it up with confirmation from the head honcho, Nine boss David Gyngell.
It’s a chilly morning in Sydney so may we suggest this as a little inspiration Karl.
The cricket turned out to be disastrous with the Aussies bowled out for 60 – giving us the lowest score at the Ashes since 1948 and our equal-sixth worst score in Test Cricket history. While cricket fans went to bed with their hopes crushes it may just be that Karl’s promise is the only shining light in the whole sorry affair.
He just has to go through with it now doesn’t he?
For the sake of the country. For the sake, of cricket.
