Those of you who spent yesterday living under a particularly large boulder will be shocked to learn that formerly squeaky clean – now possibly in need of a little detergent – teen popstar Justin Bieber was arrested for drag racing a hired Lamborghini while under the influence of drugs.
And then the Internet exploded.
Here’s a highlights reel:

As much as I can appreciate the humour of these twitter updates and pics etc, I actually feel really sad that its so acceptable to kick a man when he's down. Just because Justin Bieber is famous doesn't really mean its ok to rejoice in his mistakes and failures as a human. Its so easy to forget that celebrities are actually people, it is us (as a society) that places dehumanises them by making them our 'idols', as far as I know Bieber has never claimed to be perfect. We all make mistakes, and he is a young man transitioning into adulthood with shitloads of money and years of being pandered to behind him. He is constantly harrassed by the media, he is very vocally HATED by so many, especially on social media.... I am trying to teach my kids that its NOT ok to hate on people and to bully them on fb/twitter/IG etc, even if they are ugly/slutty/stupid/its cool to do so. But so many ADULTS seem to do just that!
All that aside, I just feel sad he's screwing his life up, and as a mum, I especially feel for his mum, as it can't be easy watching your son spiral out of control, and even get blamed for it. Rant over.
There's his pic also done with make up & he looks so much like Miley in it (they weren't doing it in reference to her either)
