A bride-to-be’s gloating open letter to her fiance’s high school ex-girlfriend has gone viral, with readers branding it ‘scary’ and ‘psycho’.
In a piece published by The Odyssey titled ‘You May Have Worn The Prom Dress With Him, But I Get To Wear The Wedding Dress’, 22-year-old student Victoria Higgins admitted to being deeply jealous of the girl who took her fiance to the prom in high school.
The Springfield, Missouri local also used the open letter to brag about being the woman who gets to marry her husband-to-be.
“He is mine now, and I get to cherish him forever. You didn’t do that right, and you were not meant to be together. You will find someone too, but I am happy that you were not the one for him,” Victoria wrote.
The open letter goes on to express Victoria’s jealousy that she missed out on attending high school events with her fiance.
“I hate that you got all of the high school stuff with him. You got to go to games and support him… I would have done it out of love, not as a popularity appearance.”
“I hate that you got to go to all of the school dances with him. He got to see you all dressed up and probably told you how great you looked.”
Listen: Instead of changing your name when you get married, why not just merge them?
The letter ends with Victoria gloating, “you got to dress up in high school, but I get to dress up for my wedding with him. He may have put a corsage on your wrist, but he will be putting the wedding ring on my finger.”
The article, which has been viewed almost 445,000 times, is gaining traction on social media, with many readers mocking the author’s obsession with her partner’s ex-girlfriend and calling her a ‘bunny boiler’.
Speaking to The Huffington Post, Victoria Higgins said she wrote the post in the character of an engaged woman writing to her husband-to-be’s high school ex.
“It’s not directly from me,” she said. “I was trying to reach a certain group and things they can relate to.”

I wonder what letter she'll write for the masses when her fiancé bolts.
Ok. so this is not actually her perspective at all...this is just a work of fiction cooked up for us all to react to? This is.., as Trump would say...fake news?
