It’s been over 18 months since Beyonce ‘outed’ her husband Jay-Z for cheating on her in her Grammy-award winning visual album, Lemonade.
Fans first heard whispers back in 2014. That was the year when a video of Beyonce’s sister Solange hitting her brother-in-law in an elevator went viral.
Confirmation that the couple, who are widely regarded as the ‘king and queen of’ of the music industry, were in fact not a perfect couple still came as a shock.
Now, Jay-Z has somewhat admitted to his infidelities, offering an ‘explanation’ of sorts for his actions.
Speaking to T Magazine, the award-winning rapper and music mogul spoke of his mindset at the time of the affair, revealing he’s since sought professional help from a therapist.
“The hardest thing is seeing pain on someone’s face that you caused, and then have to deal with yourself,” the 47-year-old said.
“I grew so much from the experience [of seeing a therapist]. But I think the most important thing I got is that everything is connected. Every emotion is connected and it comes from somewhere. And just being aware of it. Being aware of it in everyday life puts you at such … an advantage.”
