14-year-old Melbourne teenager Jade Robson-Whitehouse been missing since Saturday.

Parents plead for the safe return of their missing teen.

A Melbourne teen has been missing since Saturday night, when she ran away from her home with a girl she met on the internet.

Jade Robson-Whitehouse, 14, and her new friend – who gave Jade’s parents a fake name – disappeared around 8pm on Saturday night from her Junction Village home in Melbourne’s southeast.

Jade’s distraught parents have publicly pleaded for her to return.

Stepmother Tracey Harris said she was concerned when Jade asked if her friend could stay the night and asked to speak to the girl’s mother.

But it turned out the girl had given her a fake name and the duo disappeared before Ms Harris could take the girl home.

“The girl she left with, we don’t know who she is, we’ve never met her before. Nobody at school knows the girl,” Ms Harris told Berwick Leader.

“We don’t even have her real name, the name she gave us was incorrect.”

“It’s horrific. I can’t sleep, I can’t eat. I cannot explain it. It’s just horrible.

Jade’s father, Kim Whitehouse, also begged his daughter to return.

“It’s my daughter. We love her. We just want her to come home,” he said.

Jade is about 150cm, slim, with long auburn-coloured hair and green and brown eyes.

Victoria Police say they are concerned about her welfare due to her age.

She does not have any money or a mobile phone.

Fairfax Media reports Jade has been in touch with at least one friend on Facebook, but her parents and police remain concerned for her welfare.

Victoria Police told Mamamia this afternoon there had been no developments in the case and Jade’s whereabouts are still unknown.

Anyone who sees Jade is urged to call 000 immediately, or Narre Warren police station on 03 9705 3111 or Cranbourne police station on 03 5991 0600.
