Ivanka Trump has been caught in awkward social media slip-up after her strange 'like'.

The words “Trump” and “embarrassing slip-up” are pretty common these days. But it’s rare we hear them applied to Donald’s daughter, Ivanka.

The business mogul and second-oldest Trump child has been caught out liking an article about her father conceding she is “a piece of ass”.

The bizarre move was spotted by CNN journalist Andrew Kaczynski, who snapped a screenshot of the 34-year-old’s recent Twitter ‘likes’.

“OMG,” he wrote, as he shared the find with his 187,000 followers.

The article in question was a Huffington Post story about a 2004 radio interview, which went a little something (read: exactly) like this:

Interviewer, Howard Stern: “By the way, your daughter.”

Donald Trump: “She’s beautiful.”

HS: “Can I say this? A piece of ass.”

DT: “Yeah.”

As Kaczynski noted, Ivanka’s account unliked the Tweet roughly 30 minutes later, but his find has still received plenty of attention from both traditional and social media.

His Tweet on its own has been shared more than 2,200 times.

Ivanka, however, has stayed silent. But according to a source quoted by US Weekly, it was “a simple mistake was made by a staff member”.

Of course, the fact that Ivanka liking such a Tweet is just a newsworthy - if not more - as her father's original comments, says plenty about the Republican presidential candidate.

Other unsettling statements about his daughter include:

"Yeah, she’s really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father...", he told Rolling Stone last year.

And this: "My daughter, Ivanka. She’s 6 feet tall, she’s got the best body."

Oh, and there was that time he told The View (see video above): "I've said if Ivanka weren't my daughter I'd probably be dating her."
