On Wednesday, President Donald Trump invented a new word. Surprisingly enough, this contribution to the English lexicon wasn’t just a matter of the maverick Republican flexing his free-world-leading powers. No, alas, it was a simple mistake.
“Despite the constant negative press covfefe,” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet.
People were confused, then amused, then the jokes began, and somewhere in between it went what the kids call viral. Few could resist. Least of all PoTUS’ former opponent Hillary Clinton.
If you’re feeling a bit worried about the world, listen to the very first episode of Tell Me It’s Going To Be Ok…
“I thought it was a hidden message to the Russians,” the former Democratic presidential candidate joked at a Recode Code Conference in California.
Seriously though, she later added, according to CNN, "It's to avert attention. It's like covfefe. Trending! Worldwide! Maybe for a minute you'll forget the latest accusation about them transpiring with Russia... It's the circus, right? It's what a classic authoritarian does."
Clinton was referring to the fact that US authorities are currently investigating whether Russia interfered in November's presidential election.
Just blatant finger-pointing, according President Trump, who today Tweeted:
Clinton's response?
Brilliant.

Lol, Trump is the one to call anyone 'crooked'. How many times has he sacked someone for telling the truth or not bending to his will? How many times has he used his position to financially benefit his daughter and himself? Trump is the most crooked president in US history!
On using office for financial gain, you're seriously letting the Clintons slip by here without comment???
Look, she had her issues and maybe she wasn't a perfect candidate (IMO Bernie Sanders would have been a better choice) but she would have done a far greater job that this idiot. My neighbour's dog treats people better than this so called leader.
