Every year, award season kicks off with Hollywood’s brightest attending the Golden Globes - an event we consider being the Oscar’s more fun and laid back younger sister.
It’s been an annual tradition since 1944, and for 80 years, the Globes has been providing us with memorable moments, and of course, stunning fashion.

Because that’s really what we’re all interested in - the gowns.
Today, stars have hit the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles to walk the red carpet, and what a dazzling affair it has been. From floor-length dresses to power suits, the celebs have not come to play.
Of course, the ceremony will celebrate the very best movies and television shows of 2023, and this year the biggest nominees are Barbie, Oppenheimer, Killers of the Flower Moon, and HBO's Succession.
Netflix has also had a great year, with movies like Maestro, and shows such as The Crown and The Diplomat being recognised. The streaming service scored the most nominations of any media company, with 28 nods in total.
This year, the Globes are switching things up, and instead of five nominees per category, there will be six. Additionally, they have also introduced two new awards to recognise box office achievements and stand-up comedy specials.
That means films like Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are being celebrated for the number of tickets they sold, while comedians like Trevor Noah and Ricky Gervais are in the running thanks to their stand-up specials.
