Gogglebox‘s famous Jackson family may need to invest in another lounge suite after this announcement. Grant Jackson, 36, told New Idea his eldest son Corey, 18, is expecting his first child with fiancee Taya.
The father-of-six told the publication he and wife Stacey were stunned at the news. “Corey took us aside and said he had to talk to us about something… our very first reaction was probably shock,” he said.
Stacey said she was pleasantly surprised by the thought of welcoming a grandchild into the world.
"It was after that moment I had this feeling of love for this little person I hadn't met yet but who was going to make a very special addition to our family's lives," she said.
The father of six said he wanted to shield his son from the difficulty of young parenthood.
"It was hard having a baby young, and I didn't want it to be as hard for them as it was for us," he said.
Corey shared the happy news on Facebook in late June.
A further post in late July revealed the couple were expecting a baby girl.
"Taya and I are excited to announce it's a baby girl," the post read.
The arrival date is expected to fall in December.

My brother became a grandfather at 39/40. It's pretty funny having a sibling that is a grandparent.
With such a supportive family, they will be fine. And having so many younger siblings, he knows more about babies than i did when i had a child. I wish them all the best and hope bub makes an appearance on the show. I am surprised how much i love the show. I love all the people on it, it's a great cast.
Mum was 39 when my eldest was born. I very unsympathetically told her she should have thought of becoming a young grandparent before she'd had a baby at 20! I emailed her when I turned 32 to say sorry and I'd realised that 39 was not actually that old after all :P
