Uploading our food snaps has become so commonplace, one company has designed a plate for this very specific purpose.

While you may think that’s taking things a little too far, even the biggest cynics can’t deny the latest Instagram food trend is captivating.
It’s called ‘food gradients’, and it can make even the plainest vegetable look like a piece of pop art.
Food gradients involves carefully organising food according to the progression of its colour. Photographer Britanny Wright has gained an Instagram following of more than 90,000 people, thanks to her beautiful, colourful posts — anyone whose personality has ever been described as 'anal retentive' will enjoy the order and precision on display.

Colourful food pics to make you smile
