Fluff: Is Ryan Gosling single or not?

You’ve got to stop playing games with our hearts.

Are you single? Are you involved? Is Eva Mendes pregnant? Is a Notebook reunion with Rachel McAdams on the cards?

We’re confused. We’re emotionally exhausted. We’re sick of getting our hopes up every time we hear you’re single.

And all we want to know is whether we can start imagining a quiet, beautiful life with you. We’d live in a cottage by the sea, read feminist poetry to each other and make necklaces from sea shells and locks of your golden hair. Is that too much to ask?

This is the latest intel we have, for anyone else interested in Ryan‘s relationship status.

A “source close to the couple” told Perez Hilton: “There is no ill will. Neither is rushing out to date other people right now. They knew it was time to take the next step and get married. But neither was sure they wanted that to happen. They started having problems back in September. They decided to quietly call it off for good around Christmas. They just knew it was time.”

Sigh.

Did Liz Hurley and Bill Clinton have an affair?

According to Liz’s drug-addled ex-boyfriend, yes.

According to people who are not high as a kite, no.

It started when Hurley’s ex-boyfriend, Tom Sizemore, released a recording of himself exposing an affair between Liz Hurley and former President of the United States, Bill Clinton. “This is a true story!” he said. “Beyond your wildest imagination!”

In an eight minute rant, Sizemore said that Bill Cinton demanded Liz Hurley‘s mobile number and called her right in front of him. He then alleges that Clinton and Hurley had a sordid year-long affair.

Cue: the world’s media going mad with the story. It’s on covers of magazines, everywhere.

48-year-old British model/actress Liz Hurley came out and denied the rumours.

Ludicrously silly stories about me & Bill Clinton. Totally untrue. In the hands of my lawyers. Yawn.

Shortly after, Sizemore retreated. He stated he had never been to the white house, adding, “I’m not denying that I said these things. I don’t remember saying them, but it’s an old video tape and they’re the rantings of a guy that has been well chronicled that had a very severe drug problem.” (Yes, he’s talking about himself there).

Which settles it. The Hurley/Clinton affair was never a thing. The biggest scandal of the week was made up by a vindictive ex-boyfriend on drugs.

But may we say, nicely handled, Elizabeth Hurley.

When the magazine was last shooting a bunch of celebrities for their Hollywood issue, they dared a group of them to pose completely make-up free.

38-year-old Titanic actress Kate Winslet and 29-year-old Avengers actress Scarlett Johansson accepted the challenge.

We’re usually a bit skeptical about make-up free photos. But Scarlett and Kate look genuinely bare-faced here. And they look gooood.
